Happy Thanksgiving from Kingdom Konsultants!

Giving Thanks: Disney Style

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and before you know it the whirlwind of the holiday season will be upon us.  For some, it has already begun I’m sure!  While we may not be able to gather around the same table to share turkey, dressing or pumpkin pie, I’m glad that we can still come together here on the world wide web to share something else — our love of Disney!  And so, I would like to present you with my list of things for which I am grateful, Walt Disney World edition.  I hope you will add to the list in our comments section below! 1.   I am grateful that Walt Disney World gives me an escape from reality.  While I do (occasionally) enjoy vacations at other destinations, I find myself still tethered to “normal life” elsewhere.  When I’m in Disney World, however, the only thing I’m worried about is what time does the parade start and when can I get my next FastPass.  From the time you step onto the Magical Express until you drive under the Walt ...

Enjoy the Great Outdoors in Style at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort

I’m in no way an outdoorsy kind of girl. Going camping or on a nature walk simply isn’t on my list as a “must-do.” So, as you can imagine, the idea of staying at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge never really appealed to me. Why would I want to stay at a resort that is inspired by the great outdoors? Despite all of my hesitation, I continued to hear wonderful things about the resort so I finally decided to give it a try. As soon as I walked into the lobby of the Wilderness Lodge, one word came to mind. Wow. The lobby is absolutely amazing. The 7-story lobby is inspired by the American Northwest and is adorned with nature and Native American designs. The detail work in the lobby is simply breathtaking. It’s also a great place to grab a seat in a comfy armchair or a rocking chair in front of the 82-foot tall fireplace and enjoy some good old-fashioned people watching. The lobby is where guests can check in and get assistance from the concierge. It is also where you can do a li...

With just a few days to go before the start of the official previews for the new Fantasyland expansion on 11/19/2012, Disney has announced one of the new acts that will perform as atmosphere entertainment. From the Official Disney Parks Blog The Royal Majesty Makers engage boys and girls in random acts of “royaldom,” endowing them with the skills to become princes and princesses. These royal consultants, official ambassadors of Cinderella’s court, inspire and delight visiting villagers with magical moments throughout the land. Led by retired knight Sir Sterling and royal etiquette expert Lady Llewellyn, the Royal Majesty Makers also include squire extraordinaire Tobias and flirtatious lady-in-waiting Bridget. They may be found in the Castle Courtyard, conducting Knight School, delivering invitations to a royal ball, leading royal dances or even playing a game of “Sir Sterling Says.” “With the opening of New Fantasyland, we’re excited to introduce several new atmosphere...

5 Planning FAQs for Walt Disney World Guests

Planning a Walt Disney World vacation can be very overwhelming for a first-time guest, and may even present challenges for repeat guests.   Walt Disney World vacations offer complete customization and can provide some of the best vacation experiences; however, this plethora of choices can also confuse many guests.   Although there are unique circumstances that come up, guests are united in many questions.   I have compiled just a few of the frequently asked questions by guests planning a Walt Disney World vacation.   1.      How far in advance should I book my vacation package?   Some people are planners and book their vacations at least a year in advance, while others are more spontaneous planning a vacation mere days before traveling.   To really take advantage of all the benefits of booking a Walt Disney World vacation through Disney, I recommend booking at least 6 months in advance.   Dining reservations open up 180 ...

Whipping it Up in Adventureland!

Everyone has a favorite snack when they go on a Disney vacation and mine is the Dole Whip.  Well, that’s probably me and a million other people, too!  In Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland at Walt Disney World, you’ll find a small store front called Aloha Isle.  Chances are, you may have passed by here and wondered why so many people were standing in line knowing there is no ride there.  This is so much better than a ride!  It’s one of several locations that you can get this soft serve frozen pineapple dessert along with Captain Cook’s at the Polynesian Resort, the Tiki Juice Bar in Adventureland in Disneyland and the Dole Plantation in Hawaii. If you find yourself in Adventureland, I’d highly recommend treating yourself to one,  whether it’s in a cup by itself or as a float in pineapple juice.  Either way, it is absolutely delicious!  They also have vanilla if you don’t care for pin...
