Kingdom Konsultant client London had an unforgettable Disney Cruise Line experience that she was excited to share with our readers. The Disney Fantasy's Star Wars Day at Sea happened on 8 different sailings, with a one-day ship takeover by all things Star Wars, including characters, games, movies and music! Read her review of this "out of this galaxy" experience:

Star Wars Day at Sea aboard the Disney Fantasy cruise ship was truly one of the best vacations I have ever experienced. For a single day during our seven day vacation, it was a treat to experience Star Wars on the ship.
There were many Star Wars activities such as:
· Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple - learn the ways of the Force as young Padawans battle Lord Vader on stage!
· Padawan Mind Challenge - young kids and their families can test their Star Wars knowledge in a trivia show.
· Galactic Dance Party - kids can dance to remixed Star Wars music on the main deck at night with fun strobe lights and sound effects!
· Padawan Crafts - Star Wars themed crafts, such as door hangers to take home for souvenirs.
· Star Wars Saga: Tales from a Galaxy Far, Far Away - an interactive stage show where parents and kids were selected to play iconic roles from their favorite Star Wars movies as they reenacted famous scenes!
In addition to the great family activities available, Star Wars characters roamed the decks posing for pictures and sneaking up on those unaware. I happened to be standing at the balcony on Deck 5 overlooking the Main Atrium, and as I turned to my left, a Tusken Raider was staring right back at me! Bounty hunters, Stormtroopers, Jabba the Hutt, and more were around making it a great time!
Disney provided tickets for a set time during the day for meet and greets of other well-known characters. A majority of the bars on Deck 4 were converted for meet and greets with Captain Phasma, Boba Fett, Chewbacca, C-3PO and Darth Maul. Darth Vader was announced on the loud speaker as being aboard the ship, however, I was never able to find him for a picture. The characters from Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens such as Kylo Ren and BB-8 were not on board. Hopefully they will appear on the future Star Wars Day at Sea cruises!
Wendy Anderson, who was the Imagineering Executive Creative Director behind the architecture of Star Wars in the Disney Parks also joined us on the cruise! Mos Eisley Cantina music played on the ship at night during Star Wars trivia. The Star Wars movies were available to watch (some even in 3D!) during the seven days aboard the Fantasy. They held a costume parade and all who dressed up were celebrated in the Main Atrium which was followed by a Star Wars dance party.
The merchandise available was fantastic and I was glad to have pre-ordered mine before arriving on the ship as the lines were quite long! Plenty of limited-edition pins, clothing and accessories were available. Some of the pins I had ordered did not print in time for the cruise, but will be shipped to me in the spring. Disney provided two other limited-edition Star Wars pins for free in their place!
We were the first cruisers ever to try the Star Wars Menu and it was fantastic. One of my friends
loved the Sand People Salad so much he asked to have it on another night of the cruise and they made it for him! Personally, I loved the Bantha Steak Empanadas and the Gungan City Dumpling Soup (tomato soup with meatballs). For the main course, Qui-Gon’s Crisp Chicken was great because it had “Force-crushed” fingerling potatoes, green beans, biscuits, and bacon sauce, which are all my favorites! Between the nine of us, we tried everything on the menu! Everyone raved about it. The drink of the day was Galaxy in a Glass which was an orange-mango smoothie with vodka. My friend and I each had three that day because they were so sweet and refreshing!
We finished off the day with the "Summon the Force" stage show and fireworks presentation on the pool deck. Each character had a cameo appearance on stage before the fireworks were shot off to the Star Wars theme song by composer John Williams. It definitely gave me excited chills to see the fireworks over the ocean. Overall, I think Disney did a good job of bringing the Star Wars magic to the cruise.
