Treat Yourself to a Cabana at Serenity Bay on Disney's Castaway Cay

When I think of cruising, I think of warm weather, white sand beaches, and turquoise waters so it’s no surprise that the Bahamian and Caribbean itineraries on Disney Cruise Line are some of my favorite offerings. One of the best things about those itineraries are that they include a stop at Disney’s private island in the Bahamas, Castaway Cay. The island is the ideal spot for a day filled with relaxation and fun! If you are looking to add even more relaxation and luxury to your visit to Castaway Cay, consider renting a cabana for the day at Serenity Bay! Serenity Bay is the island’s adult only beach and it is the ultimate relaxation paradise. A cabana rental is the perfect way to pamper yourself even more on your cruise! My husband and I were lucky enough to rent a Serenity Bay cabana with some friends on a recent cruise and it was truly amazing. The night before we arrived at Castaway Cay, we received information in our stateroom about how to check-in to our cabana. We wer

Agent Karen's Top 10 Must Do's at Walt Disney World

Over the past few months, many of my fellow Kingdom Konsultant agents have told you about their favorite  Walt Disney World attractions.  When I’m assisting clients with their Disney vacation plans, I’m often asked about my favorite things to do in WDW, so I decided to write my own top ten “must do” list! Narrowing it down to ten was no easy task, but here are my faves: 10. Visit Disney Springs (formally known as “Downtown Disney”) – It goes without saying that the four theme parks are all wonderful, but please take a day, or at least an evening, and visit Disney Springs. There are some unbelievable restaurants (both quick service and table service) and amazing shops there. My personal favorites: The World of Disney store, Wolfgang Puck Express (quick service), and Bongos, a Cuban-influenced restaurant. I love to order a few empanadas a la carte at the Bongos carry out window & then sit outside & people watch. 9. Ride the Monorail – One of my favorite childhood mem

Guest Review: Walt Disney World Swan Hotel Offers Luxury at a Moderate Price

Kingdom Konsultant client James recently stayed at the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel and wanted to share his experience with our readers. Read his review of this luxurious hotel in the heart of the Walt Disney World Resort: The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels are often overlooked resorts, but I had the opportunity to stay with my Mom at the Swan during the Epcot Food and Wine Festival in October. Staying there gave me a great insight into why the Disney Swan might be one of the best resorts in Disney World. Park Transportation: The Epcot Area Resorts (BoardWalk, Beach & Yacht Club, Swan & Dolphin) are one of the best locations to stay in terms of park transportation, in my opinion. These resorts have a water taxi that takes guests to Hollywood Studios and Epcot in a matter of minutes. Maybe we got lucky, but the ferry ran every 10 minutes! So, two out of four Parks have direct transportation from this area! My Mom and I didn’t visit Animal Kingdom, but

Hawaiian Excursions to add to your Disney Aulani Vacation

On a Hawaiian vacation, it is tempting to just relax around the pool and take it easy enjoying the island life.  During our fabulous 10-day vacation at Disney's Aulani Resort, we did leave the property to partake in some great excursions outside the resort--and then we rushed back for more pool and beach time! A must-do for any first-timer in Hawaii is the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet. This is the place to go for souvenirs for yourself and friends back home.  It’s a huge flea market, with tents full of flowing dresses, Hawaiian shirts, hair accessories, native fruit and nuts, wood carvings, doll clothes, suitcases, jewelry, knives, and more.  There is something for everyone!  Next time we go, we are bringing empty suitcases and buying all our clothing there!  My daughter mostly wore the dresses she bought there, and my son even got into the shopping spirit upon finding knives for sale.  We ended up returning with a huge haul of souvenirs!
