12 Disney Cupcakes You Should Try, Including the BEST CUPCAKE EVER!

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Disney Foodies!

If you haven't noticed yet, I'm a big fan of Disney cupcakes. They are one of my favorite treats to get when I'm hanging out with my littles, whether we are in the parks or just chilling at a resort. Every bakery at Walt Disney World has something different to offer and the selections are switched up frequently. Today I want to share with you my favorites, including my absolute favorite Disney cupcake I have EVER had. You can track down these beauties and try them on your next Walt Disney World vacation! Of course, you'll need to keep in mind that because selections do change often, it's possible some of these may not be available at the time of your visit. Get ready to drool, friends!

Red Velvet Minnie Cupcake from The Main Street Confectionery in The Magic Kingdom

(Pictured at the top of this post) This one is pretty simple, but still good. It's a plain red velvet cupcake, but I am happy to report, it is done the way red velvet should be, with a chocolate base. It is topped with red buttercream frosting and crispy chocolate pearls, and two chocolate drops as mouse ears. Simple, tasty and adorable.

Millenial Pink Minnie Ears Cupcake from Fountain View at Epcot

I have reviewed this one previously, but it's worth another mention. This cupcake starts with a yellow cake, and it is filled with a light, strawberry pastry cream. It's then topped with white buttercream frosting, dipped in pink sugar crystals, and capped off with white chocolate Minnie ears. It's light, refreshing and fun.

Rose Gold Minnie Cupcake from Seasons in The Land at Epcot

This trendy beauty is a beautiful sight to behold. Yellow cake, swirled with chocolate hazelnut spread. The showstopper here though is the ornate rose gold buttercream, topped with cream cheese frosting, chocolate pearls and a fondant Minnie bow and ears. Now, as for flavor, I did NOT taste any chocolate hazelnut in the cake. It was still yummy, but tasted like vanilla to me. The frosting was so good, but there's a lot of it, so you gotta have a big sweet tooth!

Chocolate Raspberry Cupcake from The Mara at Animal Kingdom Lodge

I've talk about this one before too! It's part of the "millenial pink" collection, though it's more hot pink than baby pink to me. This is a chocolate cake, filled with a spongy raspberry mousse, and topped with pink buttercream, a raspberry, white chocolate mouse ears and edible glitter. A good bet for chocolate lovers.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcake from The Beach Club Marketplace at Disney's Beach Club Resort

Um, yum. This is one of the very best cupcakes I have had on property. (Not THE best, but we are getting to that!) This one is a plain chocolate cake, but don't let that fool you! The frosting is a combo of peanut butter and chocolate buttercream, and it's topped with chocolate curls and Reese's Pieces! Mmmm.

Rose Gold and Millenial Pink Cupcakes from The Contempo Cafe at Disney's Contemporary Resort

These two are the same cupcake, with different colored mouse ears on top. They both have a yellow cake, filled with chopped strawberries, and topped with whipped white buttercream. They each have chocolate pearls and a chocolate set of Minnie ears on top. Perfect for those who love strawberry shortcake!

Cookies and Cream Cupcake from the World Premier Food Court at Disney's All Star Movies Resort

All your cookie dreams come true! This chocolate cake is topped with cookies and cream buttercream, rainbow sprinkles and two Oreo mouse ears! My daughter LOVED it!

Confetti Cupcake from Landscape of Flavors at Disney's Art of Animation Resort

Another simple but delicious choice! This is a vanilla cake with rainbow sprinkles throughout, topped with a liberal scoop of vanilla buttercream, more rainbow sprinkles, and a chocolate drizzle, all making it look a bit like an ice cream sundae.... but better!

Raspberry Marshmallow Cupcake from Landscape of Flavors at Disney's Art of Animation Resort

I don't know how I managed to not get a picture of the inside of this one, but I somehow did not. (Probably because it was so tasty, it got gobbled up before I could!) The chocolate cake is filled with raspberry marshmallow fluff, then the cake is topped with lots of raspberry and vanilla buttercream, chocolate pearls and Mickey ear chocolate drops. The Hubs only had one complaint... why couldn't it just be plain marshmallow and not raspberry. I was good with the slight raspberry hint, though. It was subtle to me.

The Mermaid Cupcake from The BoardWalk Bakery at Disney's BoardWalk Inn

Mermaids are all the rage right now, and the theme works especially well for summer. This vanilla cupcake has a light coconut custard inside. It's topped with white and blue cream, toasted coconut, chocolate pearls and seashells, and of course, a mermaid tail and glitter. It super cute and has a nice, tropical flavor to it. But--I'm sorry, I can't stand whipped cream frosting. Pretty much all of the BoardWalk's cupcakes are made with this "baker's cream," which is essentially a whipped topping. Not a fan myself, but if you favor a lighter, creamier cupcake, this might be the one for you.

And finally, the very best cupcake I have EVER had.....

The Peanut Butter and Jelly Flowerpot Cupcake from Seasons in The Land at Epcot

This is IT! The genuine article. Okay, so this one is going to require you to like a lot of buttercream frosting and a lot of PB&J. You onboard? Great! So we start with a white cupcake, and fill it.... I mean, STUFF it... with grape jelly and creamy peanut butter. Then it is stacked high with terra cotta colored buttercream to look like the pot, a pile of crushed Oreo's to serve as soil, piped green buttercream for grass, and topped with actual edible fresh marigold flowers. I did not eat the flower because though they are technically edible, they still taste like, well... flowers. But oh my heavens.... this cupcake. I don't know if the best part is the peanut butter filling, or the massive amounts of frosting, or the Oreo crumble, but all together it is amazeballs. No other way to describe it. You HAVE to try this one yourself!

There ya have it, folks! My favorite cupcakes from around the "World." See any you like??? Well, what are you waiting for? Come and get 'em! And if you need help planning a sweet escape, contact the agents at Kingdom Konsultants to get your delicious getaway planned!

Until next time, Disney Kiddos, have a magical week!

Cruising with a Baby: A Complete Guide

You took a baby on a cruise!? Yep, and I'd do it again knowing what I know now. So, say goodbye to months of research - Everything you need to know is here!! One of the biggest challenges of traveling with a baby is planning what you need to bring. I wanted to share what worked for us, and hopefully help others who are planning their cruise! Remember, babies can only cruise after their 6-month birthday on sailings from the U.S. If you are going transatlantic, or have more than three days out at sea, they must be 12 months old by the first day of your cruise. Pre-Cruise   We flew to the cruise port, and I couldn’t bring all the food and snacks I needed, so I placed an Instacart order for pick up near the port. I chose Publix in Cocoa Beach which is a few miles from Port Canaveral. I placed the order a few days before we left home, and set the pickup time to 11:00 a.m. I ordered formula, a box of diapers, swim diapers, bottle brush, dish soap, baby food, and baby snacks. I also broug

Complete Guide to Disney's Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point

Disney's new Bahamian island destination, Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is a pristine, secluded paradise reserved exclusively for Disney Cruise Line guests. The cruise port is located on the island of Eleuthera (pronounced uh-loo-tr-uh) at it's southern tip, amidst a nature preserve called Lighthouse Point. Far from any towns, Lookout Cay feels like a tropical oasis that is separated from the outside world by mangrove forests. The landscaping is gorgeous with flowers like plumerias, and tall swaying palm trees. Whether you want to just kick back and relax or go for a thrilling banana boat ride, this port has something for everyone. There are family friendly areas as well as those reserved specifically for adults. Expert Tip: If you want a view of the island from your stateroom, be sure to book a starboard (right) side stateroom. Disney Magic docked at Lookout Cay After disembarking your Disney Cruise ship, you'll cross the pier to the island on foot. (It looks longer in

The Villas at the Disneyland Hotel Review

I love staying at the Disneyland Hotel so when I got the opportunity to stay at the new Villas at the Disneyland Hotel during opening weekend, I couldn’t pass it up. Because it was opening weekend, we were greeted in the entrance way of the lobby with balloons and many photo opportunities. When we arrived, there was a mural of the Haunted Mansion. I love how the seats in the main lobby were designed like the teacups in the parks. You can check in using the Disneyland app, drop your bags with bell services and head into the parks or use the amenities why you wait until your room is ready. When your room is ready, the resort will send you a text and you can use the Disneyland app on your mobile device to unlock the room. We dropped off our bags and went straight to the parks. We received a text around 1PM that our room was ready. In the new Discovery Tower (the Villas), you'll find that the lobby is very spacious with many places to sit while you read or wait for your family. Th
