Iberostar Cancun All Inclusive

Have you ever caught yourself thinking, "I'd like an easy vacation with beautiful views and relaxation but also plenty to do?" I know I have!  All-inclusive resorts can be the answer you are looking for!  With accommodations, dining, and many activities included, the ease of an all-inclusive vacation can't be beat.  The Iberostar Cancun is a great choice for adults and families alike, as they have numerous options that will please all ages on their trip.

The resort has a beautiful main building and several villa buildings all around so there are accommodations to suit any party. Additionally, there are numerous pools and of course a wonderful beach to relax on.  The hotel boasts 6 restaurants to choose from for all your dining needs.  They came at no additional cost but did require an advanced reservation to enjoy. The hotel also has a fitness center and spa. If that doesn't sound like enough, there is also nightly entertainment to enjoy. Finally, you can arrange excursions from the resort (for an additional fee) to go explore even more if you wish.

Let's go through all the wonderful things you can enjoy here.  First is of course, the resort itself.  With nods to a pyramid, the main building is towering yet elegant.  The main pool includes a swim up bar and infinity edge which looks over the beach which is only a few steps further.  Lounge chairs were plentiful and welcomed relaxation throughout the day.

Next up, we have the rooms.  Our party stayed in the villas section of the resort.  These rooms were light and spacious, the mini bar was included as was room service.  We enjoyed the patio and small semi-private pools for these buildings as well when we wanted some quiet time.

Now let's explore the dining options.  The food at the buffet was plentiful and delicious.  We also tried three of the specialty restaurants - El Maguey Mexican Restuarant, Naga Hibachi Japanese Restaurant, and La Parrilla Rotisserie. They were great options to change up the atmosphere each night and each came with great service and unique menus.  We also enjoyed room service a few times.  While the menu was nothing fancy, we enjoyed our snacks on the patio immensely!

Other amenities around the resort include the spa, fitness center, and the kids pool and activities.  The spa offered services but also had a wet spa area including jetted tubs and special showers for relaxation. The kids pool was easily accessible by the main pool of the resort and offered lots of fun for kids to play. The fitness center had beautiful views over the resort and was never too crowded while I was there.

We ended each night with some fun by the resort entertainment.  They offer a variety of shows, so be sure to check the schedule while you are there!

With so much to do, it's easy to fill your days here.  Some highlights for me included digging my toes into the sand by the ocean, relaxing in the spa, doing some water aerobics in the pool, enjoying a cocktail or two in the beautiful atmosphere, and just getting to hang out with some awesome people on my trip!

Cruising with a Baby: A Complete Guide

You took a baby on a cruise!? Yep, and I'd do it again knowing what I know now. So, say goodbye to months of research - Everything you need to know is here!! One of the biggest challenges of traveling with a baby is planning what you need to bring. I wanted to share what worked for us, and hopefully help others who are planning their cruise! Remember, babies can only cruise after their 6-month birthday on sailings from the U.S. If you are going transatlantic, or have more than three days out at sea, they must be 12 months old by the first day of your cruise. Pre-Cruise   We flew to the cruise port, and I couldn’t bring all the food and snacks I needed, so I placed an Instacart order for pick up near the port. I chose Publix in Cocoa Beach which is a few miles from Port Canaveral. I placed the order a few days before we left home, and set the pickup time to 11:00 a.m. I ordered formula, a box of diapers, swim diapers, bottle brush, dish soap, baby food, and baby snacks. I also broug

Complete Guide to Disney's Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point

Disney's new Bahamian island destination, Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is a pristine, secluded paradise reserved exclusively for Disney Cruise Line guests. The cruise port is located on the island of Eleuthera (pronounced uh-loo-tr-uh) at it's southern tip, amidst a nature preserve called Lighthouse Point. Far from any towns, Lookout Cay feels like a tropical oasis that is separated from the outside world by mangrove forests. The landscaping is gorgeous with flowers like plumerias, and tall swaying palm trees. Whether you want to just kick back and relax or go for a thrilling banana boat ride, this port has something for everyone. There are family friendly areas as well as those reserved specifically for adults. Expert Tip: If you want a view of the island from your stateroom, be sure to book a starboard (right) side stateroom. Disney Magic docked at Lookout Cay After disembarking your Disney Cruise ship, you'll cross the pier to the island on foot. (It looks longer in

The Villas at the Disneyland Hotel Review

I love staying at the Disneyland Hotel so when I got the opportunity to stay at the new Villas at the Disneyland Hotel during opening weekend, I couldn’t pass it up. Because it was opening weekend, we were greeted in the entrance way of the lobby with balloons and many photo opportunities. When we arrived, there was a mural of the Haunted Mansion. I love how the seats in the main lobby were designed like the teacups in the parks. You can check in using the Disneyland app, drop your bags with bell services and head into the parks or use the amenities why you wait until your room is ready. When your room is ready, the resort will send you a text and you can use the Disneyland app on your mobile device to unlock the room. We dropped off our bags and went straight to the parks. We received a text around 1PM that our room was ready. In the new Discovery Tower (the Villas), you'll find that the lobby is very spacious with many places to sit while you read or wait for your family. Th
