Oga's Cantina at Walt Disney World

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge has been extremely popular at Walt Disney World since it opened at Disney's Hollywood Studios in 2019.  One of our favorite spots in this new area is Oga's Cantina, a very popular lounge where you can get all kinds of fun drinks and take in the atmosphere of Batuu's hot spot.

Space inside Oga's is limited so advance reservations are highly recommend and can be made up to 60 days in advance. Even with an advance reservation, be prepared to wait in line outside a bit before being let in. Oga's Cantina is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and reservations are recommended for all meal periods.

The small location offers a wide variety of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails that are out of this world.  They also offer a very limited selection of bar bites.  The snacks aren't enough for a meal but they are a tasty option if you need something to eat while you enjoy your cocktails.
Batuu Bits: Crispy Galaxy Snack Bits with Spiced Dip
There are also souvenir mugs available that are definitely adorable but they will be a hit to the wallet if you want to purchase them with their respective drinks.  If you ask the Cast Member, you may be able to order the drink without actually purchasing the souvenir mug.  It's worth asking if you want to try the drink but you don't want the souvenir mug.
Yub Nub: Malibu Pineapple Rum, Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum, Citrus Juices,
and Passion Fruit served in a Souvenir Endor Mug
If you are a smaller party, be prepared to be seated with other parties at a table or standing with other parties at a high top table.  With limited space, no seat goes empty here for long.  In fact, most of the Cantina is standing room only at high top tables or the bar.  There are a few booths in the lounge so if you really want to sit, you can request to wait for a table but know that it's not guaranteed and you may have a longer wait.  It definitely gives it that "space bar" type vibe.  Due to the location's popularity, your visit to Oga's is limited to 45 minutes per party.
I've tried numerous cocktails at Oga's over the years and there are definitely some drinks that stand out more than others. My absolute favorite is the Jedi Mind Trick.  I order this drink time and time again and it never disappoints.  Another fun drink is the Fuzzy Tauntaun. It's not my favorite on the menu but it's a must try for the unique 'Buzz Button Tingling' foam.
Jedi Mind Trick, Blue Bantha and Jabba Juice
Fuzzy Tauntaun: Ketel One Botanical Peach & Orange Vodka, Bols Peach Schnapps Liqueur,
Orange Juice with Tangerine, Pure Cane Sugar, and 'Buzz Button Tingling' Foam
The drinks at Oga's have so many fun names that it can be hard to choose!  There's the Bloody Rancor, T-16 Skyhopper, and the Bespin Fizz to name a few.  I recommend trying a few drinks (with and without alcohol) on your visit to find your favorite.
Bespin Fizz: Bacardi Superior Rum, Yuzu Puree, Pomegranate Juice,
White Cranberry Juice, and a Cloud Swirl
Bloody Rancor: Tito's Handmade Vodka, Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur,
Spicy Bloody Mary Mix, Rancor Bone
T-16 Skyhopper: Tito's Handmade Vodka,
Bols Melon Liqueur, Kiwi, and Half and Half
One of my favorite parts of visiting Oga's Cantina is the atmosphere.  The details inside are amazing and really make you feel like you've traveled to another galaxy.  The staff really bring the theme home with their customer interactions.  While you enjoy your drinks, you can also enjoy some stellar beats from droid DJ R-3X.  You may recognize him as a former Starspeeder 3000 pilot.
Oga's Cantina coasters
Jabba Juice: Simply Orange with Pineapple, Kiwi, Cantaloupe, and Blueberry Popping Pearls
DJ R-3X spinning tunes
Blurrgfire: Odwalla Lemonade, Pomegranate Juice, and Habanero-Lime
If you're looking for a great atmosphere, fun drinks and out of this world tunes, I highly recommend visiting Oga's Cantina on your next Walt Disney World vacation!

Cruising with a Baby: A Complete Guide

You took a baby on a cruise!? Yep, and I'd do it again knowing what I know now. So, say goodbye to months of research - Everything you need to know is here!! One of the biggest challenges of traveling with a baby is planning what you need to bring. I wanted to share what worked for us, and hopefully help others who are planning their cruise! Remember, babies can only cruise after their 6-month birthday on sailings from the U.S. If you are going transatlantic, or have more than three days out at sea, they must be 12 months old by the first day of your cruise. Pre-Cruise   We flew to the cruise port, and I couldn’t bring all the food and snacks I needed, so I placed an Instacart order for pick up near the port. I chose Publix in Cocoa Beach which is a few miles from Port Canaveral. I placed the order a few days before we left home, and set the pickup time to 11:00 a.m. I ordered formula, a box of diapers, swim diapers, bottle brush, dish soap, baby food, and baby snacks. I also broug

Complete Guide to Disney's Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point

Disney's new Bahamian island destination, Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is a pristine, secluded paradise reserved exclusively for Disney Cruise Line guests. The cruise port is located on the island of Eleuthera (pronounced uh-loo-tr-uh) at it's southern tip, amidst a nature preserve called Lighthouse Point. Far from any towns, Lookout Cay feels like a tropical oasis that is separated from the outside world by mangrove forests. The landscaping is gorgeous with flowers like plumerias, and tall swaying palm trees. Whether you want to just kick back and relax or go for a thrilling banana boat ride, this port has something for everyone. There are family friendly areas as well as those reserved specifically for adults. Expert Tip: If you want a view of the island from your stateroom, be sure to book a starboard (right) side stateroom. Disney Magic docked at Lookout Cay After disembarking your Disney Cruise ship, you'll cross the pier to the island on foot. (It looks longer in

The Villas at the Disneyland Hotel Review

I love staying at the Disneyland Hotel so when I got the opportunity to stay at the new Villas at the Disneyland Hotel during opening weekend, I couldn’t pass it up. Because it was opening weekend, we were greeted in the entrance way of the lobby with balloons and many photo opportunities. When we arrived, there was a mural of the Haunted Mansion. I love how the seats in the main lobby were designed like the teacups in the parks. You can check in using the Disneyland app, drop your bags with bell services and head into the parks or use the amenities why you wait until your room is ready. When your room is ready, the resort will send you a text and you can use the Disneyland app on your mobile device to unlock the room. We dropped off our bags and went straight to the parks. We received a text around 1PM that our room was ready. In the new Discovery Tower (the Villas), you'll find that the lobby is very spacious with many places to sit while you read or wait for your family. Th
