Universal Orlando Resort offers numerous dining plan options to help make planning your vacation seamless!  With so much to choose from, that can end up being a little overwhelming!  Here are the basics you need to know about Universal Dining Plans and the details of each different plan to determine which is right for you on your next Universal Orlando Resort vacation.

Overview

Universal Orlando Resort has 3 dining plan options, plus a beverage only plan option.  These are the Universal Dining Plan and the Universal Quick Service Dining Plan to which you can add the Coca-Cola freestyle® Souvenir Cup for a third option.

The great thing about the Universal Dining Plans is the amount of flexibility they offer.  You choose the amount of days and the amount of guests you want to purchase.  Want to get it for your teens so they can have a little freedom? Go for it! Planning on spending two days in the parks and two days at the resort? Just purchase 2 days of dining!  Your Kingdom Konsultant Agent can help you determine what will be the right combination of days to purchase for your trip.

Once you've decided on which plan and how many days you want, we simply add it to your package.  When you arrive at the Universal Orlando Resort, you will trade in your confirmation for a dining card which holds your dining entitlements.  You can share these cards to make purchasing easier and entitlements can be used on any day of your trip.

For example, if you are two adults planning to spend 3 days in the parks, you could choose to only purchase 2 days of Quick Service Dining. This gives you 4 QS Meal entitlements, 4 Drink entitlements, and 4 Snack entitlements. You could use one card on Day 1 to purchase lunch for both of you, and beverages later on to cool off. That card now has 2 snacks left available and you still have another full card. On Day 2, you decide to have lunch at your resort (no dining plan options at the resorts) but head back out to the parks that evening. You then use the 2 snacks left available to treat yourself to some frosty Butterbeers! On Day 3, you still have a full card left and use it for lunch for both of you, afternoon Icees to drink and evening ice cream for dessert.

Universal Dining Plan
  • 1 Full-Service Meal (Includes 1 entree, 1 non-alcoholic beverage, 1 dining plan dessert)
  • 1 Quick-Service Meal (Includes 1 entree, 1 non-alcoholic beverage)
  • 1 Snack from food carts or quick-service locations
  • 1 Non-Alcoholic Beverage from food carts or quick service locations
This dining plan is only available with a Universal Orlando Vacation Package - which we highly recommend anyway.  This is the most complete plan available, offering two meals per day.

Universal Dining Plan — Quick-Service - $25.99 + Tax
  • 1 Quick-Service Meal (Includes 1 entree, 1 non-alcoholic beverage)
  • 1 Snack from food carts or quick-service locations
  • 1 Non-Alcoholic Beverage from food carts or quick service locations
This plan is great for your in-parks time.  With many Quick Service Meals ranging from $17-$19, it's easy to find savings and value in this plan for all types of trips.

Universal Dining Plan — Quick-Service + Coca-Cola freestyle® Souvenir Cup $34.99 + Tax
  • 1 Quick-Service Meal (Includes 1 entree, 1 non-alcoholic beverage)
  • 1 Snack from food carts or quick-service locations
  • 1-Day Unlimited Coca-Cola freestyle® Beverage
This plan is very similar to the Quick Service, but it upgrades your additional beverage to a refillable Coca-Cola freestyle® Souvenir Cup which allows even more beverages throughout the day.  This is a great option for soda drinkers or during summer when you might just be a little extra thirsty from the heat!  If you are thinking of purchasing a refillable cup, this is a great option for you.

Coca-Cola freestyle® Souvenir Cup $16.99 + Tax
  • 1-Day Unlimited Coca-Cola freestyle® Beverage
This is your beverage-only option.  You get the souvenir cup and a day's worth of refills with over 20 locations in the park to refill.  There are additional savings if you buy multiple cups at once for your entire party.  If you'd like to use the same cup for multiple days, additional days of refills can be added for $9.99 per day.

How do I know what items are included in the Dining Plan?

The Universal Dining Plan is marked on most menus with a UD icon and on the Universal Orlando website with a (UD) by the items.  In the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, you might not see the icons, so be sure to ask!  Three Broomsticks and The Leaky Cauldron are both Quick Service dining options.

How to Save Money

The most commonly purchased Universal Dining Plan is the Quick Service.  So here are a few combinations of a days worth of entitlements to see how it can save you money!  While we picked some of the more expensive items from each park, these are by no means the only combinations to save you money. Please note, that these savings are per person, per day, so if you are traveling with a family of four, the Quick Service Dining Plan could easily save you over $40 per day.

The serving sizes of the food on the dining plan are also quite large. We had trouble finishing our meals and oftentimes likely could have split some of the bigger options at quick service locations (think chicken and ribs combo). So in our opinion, you are definitely getting a great value out of these plans!

Cruising with a Baby: A Complete Guide

You took a baby on a cruise!? Yep, and I'd do it again knowing what I know now. So, say goodbye to months of research - Everything you need to know is here!! One of the biggest challenges of traveling with a baby is planning what you need to bring. I wanted to share what worked for us, and hopefully help others who are planning their cruise! Remember, babies can only cruise after their 6-month birthday on sailings from the U.S. If you are going transatlantic, or have more than three days out at sea, they must be 12 months old by the first day of your cruise. Pre-Cruise   We flew to the cruise port, and I couldn’t bring all the food and snacks I needed, so I placed an Instacart order for pick up near the port. I chose Publix in Cocoa Beach which is a few miles from Port Canaveral. I placed the order a few days before we left home, and set the pickup time to 11:00 a.m. I ordered formula, a box of diapers, swim diapers, bottle brush, dish soap, baby food, and baby snacks. I also broug

Complete Guide to Disney's Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point

Disney's new Bahamian island destination, Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is a pristine, secluded paradise reserved exclusively for Disney Cruise Line guests. The cruise port is located on the island of Eleuthera (pronounced uh-loo-tr-uh) at it's southern tip, amidst a nature preserve called Lighthouse Point. Far from any towns, Lookout Cay feels like a tropical oasis that is separated from the outside world by mangrove forests. The landscaping is gorgeous with flowers like plumerias, and tall swaying palm trees. Whether you want to just kick back and relax or go for a thrilling banana boat ride, this port has something for everyone. There are family friendly areas as well as those reserved specifically for adults. Expert Tip: If you want a view of the island from your stateroom, be sure to book a starboard (right) side stateroom. Disney Magic docked at Lookout Cay After disembarking your Disney Cruise ship, you'll cross the pier to the island on foot. (It looks longer in

The Villas at the Disneyland Hotel Review

I love staying at the Disneyland Hotel so when I got the opportunity to stay at the new Villas at the Disneyland Hotel during opening weekend, I couldn’t pass it up. Because it was opening weekend, we were greeted in the entrance way of the lobby with balloons and many photo opportunities. When we arrived, there was a mural of the Haunted Mansion. I love how the seats in the main lobby were designed like the teacups in the parks. You can check in using the Disneyland app, drop your bags with bell services and head into the parks or use the amenities why you wait until your room is ready. When your room is ready, the resort will send you a text and you can use the Disneyland app on your mobile device to unlock the room. We dropped off our bags and went straight to the parks. We received a text around 1PM that our room was ready. In the new Discovery Tower (the Villas), you'll find that the lobby is very spacious with many places to sit while you read or wait for your family. Th
