Loews Royal Pacific Resort

Loews Royal Pacific Resort is one of three Premier level accommodations at Universal Orlando Resort.  With wonderful amenities and a South Pacific feel, it's almost a vacation in and of itself!

Accommodations

Loews Royal Pacific has three main types of rooms; Standard, Club Level, and Suites.  The most common room type is the Standard which can vary in view and location but otherwise comes with everything you need for an enjoyable and relaxing stay.

There is something for everyone at this resort, from Polynesian-inspired fare at Islands Dining Room, American favorites at Jake's American Bar to sushi at Orchid Court Lounge.  In addition to three full service restaurants, there is also a quick service option by the pool and a grab and go/coffee shop off the lobby.  If that wasn't enough options for you, they also offer 24-hour room service!

Amenities

It's hard to miss the beautiful lagoon-style pool at the resort. It is serene and relaxing while also fun for all ages.  There is a water play area for kids, and a pool bar for adults which also serves delicious food for the family. There is also a fitness center nearby located on the ground floor to keep up your fitness routine while on your trip.

There are of course hotel basics like Concierge, Bell Services, and a Gift Shop off the lobby. Additionally, there is conference and meeting space if you'd like to hold an event at the resort.
Perks

First up, location: When you stay at Royal Pacific you are never more than 10 minutes from anything at Universal Orlando Resort.  You can utilize all the transportation options (more information below) including water taxis and a walking path.  What could be more convenient than that?

Staying on-site at a Universal Orlando resort hotel also comes with complimentary perks, what could be better?  For staying at a Premier Level hotel, you will gain not only early park access (30 mins to an hour before other guests for select parks) but you will also get the Universal Express Unlimited Pass. This allows you to skip the line for almost every attraction at Universal Studios Florida and Universal's Islands of Adventure.  This could easily save you hundreds of dollars, but also gives you plenty of time back in your day to either do more attractions or enjoy some R&R at the resort.

Transportation

There are four different ways you can get to the Universal Orlando Resort attractions from this hotel.  To Universal CityWalk (which you can then reach Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure) you can take a quick water taxi ride, a 10-15 minute walk along a beautiful path, or grab a pedi-cab (they are free but the drivers work for tips, so it's best if you have cash.)  For Volcano Bay, there is a shuttle bus that runs regularly throughout the day.

Cruising with a Baby: A Complete Guide

You took a baby on a cruise!? Yep, and I'd do it again knowing what I know now. So, say goodbye to months of research - Everything you need to know is here!! One of the biggest challenges of traveling with a baby is planning what you need to bring. I wanted to share what worked for us, and hopefully help others who are planning their cruise! Remember, babies can only cruise after their 6-month birthday on sailings from the U.S. If you are going transatlantic, or have more than three days out at sea, they must be 12 months old by the first day of your cruise. Pre-Cruise   We flew to the cruise port, and I couldn’t bring all the food and snacks I needed, so I placed an Instacart order for pick up near the port. I chose Publix in Cocoa Beach which is a few miles from Port Canaveral. I placed the order a few days before we left home, and set the pickup time to 11:00 a.m. I ordered formula, a box of diapers, swim diapers, bottle brush, dish soap, baby food, and baby snacks. I also broug...

Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya

If you're planning a trip to EPCOT and have a penchant for sushi, Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya should be at the top of your dining list. Nestled in the heart of the Japan Pavilion, this restaurant offers an authentic izakaya experience that promises to tantalize your taste buds and elevate your dining experience. A Culinary Adventure in Epcot's Japan Pavilion From the moment you step inside Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya, you'll be transported to an authentic Japanese izakaya. The restaurant's warm, inviting ambiance, coupled with traditional decor, sets the stage for an unforgettable meal. We were also quite impressed with the service and enjoyed the atmosphere here for our meal. A Delightful Start: The Appetizers We kicked off our meal with the Kara-age Chicken (fried chicken) appetizer and let me tell you—it was love at first bite. Perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, this dish was bursting with flavor. The subtle seasoning and light batter made it an ideal...
