Why You'll Love Planet Hollywood at Disney Springs

Planet Hollywood is located in Disney Springs, and you can't miss it - it looks like an observatory with it's huge domed roof. If you're looking for a memorable and lively restaurant, check this place out! Movie lovers and TV show buffs will love seeing all the authentic Hollywood props. There are so many dining choices at Disney Springs, but if you have kids or teens, I suggest Planet Hollywood!
High School Musical Props - Go Wildcats!
Reasons why you will love dining here:

1. There wasn't a wait time. We were a few minutes early for our reservation, and they sat us right away. We were having a good time before we even got to the table. A Frozen song was blasting, the bass was pumping, and we got to browse some props from famous movies on our way up the stairs such as Dorothy's dress from The Wizard of Oz

2. The props, memorabilia, and artifacts from our favorite movies and shows were all around us, and our table had pieces from Pirates of the Caribbean inside it. We were seated next to Marvel's Jessica Jones' outfit and leather jacket. Not far away I could see Leonardo DiCaprio's costume from Titanic! There are over 500 items currently on display; but they’re changed out on a regular basis, so you may see something different every time you visit! My favorite one was the Chewbacca suit. So many cool photo-ops here!
3. The music - Warning: This is not a quiet and relaxing meal! There is a 3-story-tall, curved movie screen that plays movie soundtracks, and popular hits as music videos. We got to jam out to some songs from High School Musical, Avatar, The Lion King, Frozen, and Sweet Caroline (yes, everyone sang along!) among others. They have a state-of-the-art sound system too, so it's pretty loud, like a movie theater. A DJ is there at night to spin the Top 40 hits.
I'll never let go, Jack.
4.  The great food! Chef Guy Fieri from the Food Network has the best burgers at sea, on Carnival Cruise Line, which my family loves! When they saw his food on the menu here, it was a deciding factor on booking the reservation. My husband got the Original Ringer Burger, with a crispy onion ring and super melty cheese.  I had the superb Morgan’s Veggie burger, both of which come with huge portions of his spicy fries. The kids loved their meals too!

Their Menu has many other options too, like salads, sandwiches, pasta and amazing starters like Nachos Grande. They offer great entrees like Sirloin, BBQ Ribs, Slow Roasted Chicken Breast, and Sesame Ginger Salmon.

They have a decent wine and beer selection too.  You can sit outdoors on the covered terrace where you’ll enjoy views of Disney Springs. There’s even live music every night!

Have a sweet tooth?? Try a classic milkshake, or the Brownie Sundae Martini! This is twelve freshly baked brownies layered with six scoops or vanilla and chocolate ice cream, topped with caramel and chocolate sauce, whipped cream and a cherry.

5. The atmosphere - Everyone was having a great time, it was like a big party! People were singing along to their favorite songs, cheering, walking around taking photos of the props, and the staff were so upbeat and fun! If it's your birthday they'll come sing and embarrass you, but you do get an awesome looking dessert out of it.
As you exit, you'll go through a gift shop, so pick up a shirt, mug, or shot glass to remember the fun you had there! We will definitely be back, it's our new favorite Disney Springs restaurant!

Cruising with a Baby: A Complete Guide

You took a baby on a cruise!? Yep, and I'd do it again knowing what I know now. So, say goodbye to months of research - Everything you need to know is here!! One of the biggest challenges of traveling with a baby is planning what you need to bring. I wanted to share what worked for us, and hopefully help others who are planning their cruise! Remember, babies can only cruise after their 6-month birthday on sailings from the U.S. If you are going transatlantic, or have more than three days out at sea, they must be 12 months old by the first day of your cruise. Pre-Cruise   We flew to the cruise port, and I couldn’t bring all the food and snacks I needed, so I placed an Instacart order for pick up near the port. I chose Publix in Cocoa Beach which is a few miles from Port Canaveral. I placed the order a few days before we left home, and set the pickup time to 11:00 a.m. I ordered formula, a box of diapers, swim diapers, bottle brush, dish soap, baby food, and baby snacks. I also broug

Complete Guide to Disney's Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point

Disney's new Bahamian island destination, Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is a pristine, secluded paradise reserved exclusively for Disney Cruise Line guests. The cruise port is located on the island of Eleuthera (pronounced uh-loo-tr-uh) at it's southern tip, amidst a nature preserve called Lighthouse Point. Far from any towns, Lookout Cay feels like a tropical oasis that is separated from the outside world by mangrove forests. The landscaping is gorgeous with flowers like plumerias, and tall swaying palm trees. Whether you want to just kick back and relax or go for a thrilling banana boat ride, this port has something for everyone. There are family friendly areas as well as those reserved specifically for adults. Expert Tip: If you want a view of the island from your stateroom, be sure to book a starboard (right) side stateroom. Disney Magic docked at Lookout Cay After disembarking your Disney Cruise ship, you'll cross the pier to the island on foot. (It looks longer in

The Villas at the Disneyland Hotel Review

I love staying at the Disneyland Hotel so when I got the opportunity to stay at the new Villas at the Disneyland Hotel during opening weekend, I couldn’t pass it up. Because it was opening weekend, we were greeted in the entrance way of the lobby with balloons and many photo opportunities. When we arrived, there was a mural of the Haunted Mansion. I love how the seats in the main lobby were designed like the teacups in the parks. You can check in using the Disneyland app, drop your bags with bell services and head into the parks or use the amenities why you wait until your room is ready. When your room is ready, the resort will send you a text and you can use the Disneyland app on your mobile device to unlock the room. We dropped off our bags and went straight to the parks. We received a text around 1PM that our room was ready. In the new Discovery Tower (the Villas), you'll find that the lobby is very spacious with many places to sit while you read or wait for your family. Th
