WDW 50th Anniversary Foodie Guide - Part 1

The Most Magical Celebration kicked off on Friday, October 1st to celebrate 50 years of the Walt Disney World Resort in central Florida.  While this celebration came with lots of great things, one of the many was over 100 new food items to try across the parks and resorts.  While we haven't come close to trying them all yet, we did our best to start making a dent in them! Over the next 18 months as this celebration continues, our agents will continue to add to this series with our thoughts on more of the great food options offered from fun desserts to Walt's favorites. Amorette’s Patisserie (Disney Springs) 50th Celebration Petit Cake – Vanilla chiffon cake with celebration blue mousse, blueberry jam, and lemon curd Okay I'm definitely starting off with one of the strongest items I've tried so far.  This cake is so beautiful to look at it almost hurt to cut into it, but then we did and the inside wa...

All Things Butterbeer

It’s no secret that one of the most sought after treats from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is none other than the famous Butterbeer. I mean, how many pictures have you seen of guests proudly showing off their butterbeer in front of Gringott’s Bank or Hogwarts? Here, I’ll show you: No one knows for sure what is in Butterbeer, but most people agree that it has a sweet, butterscotch flavor.   I’ve heard speculation that it also tastes like it might have cream soda, vanilla, or shortbread flavoring.   Whatever those witches and wizards put in their magical concoction, we can all agree it is delicious!   But did you know there are multiple ways to experience butterbeer at Universal Orlando Resort?!   In fact, some of my favorite butterbeer treats aren’t even drinks at all!   If you’ve got a sweet tooth and a love for Harry Potter, you’ll want to experience as many butterbeer treats as you can! Sip that Butterbeer Let’s start off with the gold standard. ...

Review of 2021 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival - Part Two

Welcome back to another review of the 2021 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival food and beverage offerings! If you read Ashley's original review , you know that the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival kicked off on July 15th and ends on November 20th so there's still about a month left of this wonderful time of Epcot fun.  For those who haven't visited the Festival before, each year the Festival includes Global Marketplaces where you can taste your way around the world, live entertainment and fun activities the whole family can enjoy. I tend to focus on the Global Marketplaces, because food is life :)  I spent two days in Epcot this month and was able to sample quite a bit!  Here's what I tried and my thoughts on it all. Appleseed Orchard Location: Canada Theater The first major pro of this booth is that it is indoors - enjoy a break from the elements!  The food options are very limited here but the beer and cider options are plentiful.  The ap...

La Creperie de Paris

October 1st was a special day at Walt Disney World Resort as it kicked off the Most Magical Celebration for the 50th anniversary of the parks in Florida.  While many people flocked to the Magic Kingdom, we made our way over to Epcot as it was also the grand opening of Remy's Ratatouille Adventure and La Creperie de Paris in the France Pavilion in World Showcase. This new area is a stunning addition to the already beautiful pavilion, and since it is new, the area is definitely seeing its fair share of traffic right now.  La Creperie has a quick service window for crepes to go, but we opted for the full table service experience for our first time here.  We arrived at park opening and after about a 20 minute wait we were escorted to our table and greeted by our server who was absolutely fantastic.  *Please note, now that the restaurant has been open for a while, it has gone to the reservation system and walk up availability may be limited o...
