In summer of 2019, Disney's Coronado Springs Resort completed its reimagining with the grand opening of Gran Destino Tower. Now that things have had some time to settle down there, we decided to give it a try to see if it was worth the stay now that the shiny and new has worn off. Coronado Springs is a Moderate Resort at Walt Disney World that celebrates the unique blend of Spanish, Mexican and Southwest American cultures. Gran Destino Tower is a beautiful towering addition that brings new rooms, suites and dining establishments to the resort.
When you walk into the tower you are greeted by a stunning two-story lobby with gorgeous lights and details all around. This is now the main check-in area for the entire resort.
The rooms here are elegant, modern and upscale. We found the room to be a great size for the two adults we had staying here, and found the set up to be comfortable for both work and relaxation.
On the 16th floor you can find Toledo - Tapas, Steak and Seafood, and the Dahlia Lounge which offer beautiful views of the Walt Disney World Resort, cocktails in the lounge and full dinner service at Toledo. The natural light in the restaurant is so inviting and while a little pricey, we loved our "The Spaniard for Two" which is a cheese and charcuterie board we had at Toledo. The cheese and meat selections were so delightful and it was the perfect light bite before our night out at Disney Springs and later dinner that evening.

Coronado Springs is also home to Cafe Rix and Rix Sports Bar and Grill which is a more casual establishment serving breakfast, lunch and dinner on the main floor of the resort. Cafe Rix is a grab and go option for breakfast while Rix Sports Bar is the table service option which serves all three meals. We had breakfast at Rix Sports Bar one morning and found it to be very enjoyable for a leisurely way to start our day. We can definitely see it being a big hit for a big game later in the day as well!

Of course no resort is complete without a gift shop, and this is also found on the first floor and has pretty much everything you'd expect from your Walt Disney World Resort gift shop!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and loved the upscale vibes the hotel offered, the varied dining options available, and the quick bus service we experienced throughout our stay.
