1. Accommodates a family of 6
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is a very popular moderate level Disney Resort near Disney's Hollywood Studios. As a family of 6, we can stay here, even though it's advertised as having rooms that fit up to 5 guests. This works when one of the guests is age 2 and under. Most rooms have 2 queen beds. There are some rooms called a 5th sleeper room which also have a single bunk. This Murphy style bunk is perfect for most kids under 12, or about 5 feet tall. My kids love to have their own special bed. The infant or toddler can have a Pack 'N Play or a crib in the room as well.
You can comfortably fit 4 adults, one child (under 12) and one infant in the 5th sleeper rooms. You can store your luggage in the closet or under the beds to save space. Connected rooms can be requested as well if your family needs more room, and more beds.

2. Transportation
It has 2 Disney Skyliner Hubs! No matter which side of the resort you're on, you can catch the Skyliner to Hollywood Studios and Epcot. For Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, bus stops are available in each island village. You can also walk to Disney's Riviera Resort for more dining options.

Caribbean Beach is only slightly higher than a value resort when you take advantage of one of Disney's room discounts. Ask your travel agent what discounts are available for your dates.
4. Beautiful resort grounds
The island villages of Aruba, Trinidad, Jamaica, Barbados and Martinique are situated around a peaceful lake called Barefoot Bay. There are sandy beaches with hammocks in each village along the water. Swimming isn't permitted and the water is roped off, but that's no problem since each island has it's own pool. These 5 smaller "quiet pools" are great if you don't want to walk to the main pool, or would like a relaxing swim with the pool mostly to yourself! The landscaping is gorgeous with many tropical plants and palm trees. The buildings are painted in beautiful Caribbean hues of coral, yellow and pink. The pools add to the Caribbean theme even more!

The main pool looks like the ruins of a Caribbean Port attacked by Pirates. Its a zero entry pool with 2 small waterslides perfect for children, and a jacuzzi perfect for adults. Pool towels and chairs are usually plentiful. There is a food court, gift shop, and Caribbean themed lobby inside Old Port Royale. You can walk through the lobby to get to the main bus stop.

Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is centrally located and not too far from any of the 4 theme parks. It's closest to Hollywood Studios, and then Epcot. Magic Kingdom is the furthest away but still only a 10-12 minute ride by bus (4 miles).
8. Sebastian's Bistro
Taking a break from the parks to enjoy the resort? Or are arriving in the evening? You should dine at Sebastian's Bistro! Tropical vibes and market-fresh ingredients await you at this restaurant, located just outside the lobby near the main pool.
"Your meal begins with delicious Buttery House-Baked Pull-Apart Rolls served with Guava Butter and Caramelized Onion Jam. Enjoy a salad appetizer of mixed greens, spiced candied walnuts, grilled pineapple and more before you indulge in the main course—Taste of the Caribbean. This delectable dish lets you savor a selection of favorite recipes, including Oven-Roasted Citrus Chicken, Slow-Cooked Mojo Pork and Grilled Flank Steak, accompanied by Cilantro Rice and Beans, Vegetable Curry and Grilled Broccolini."

9. All NEW Under the Sea themed rooms!
The old pirate rooms were recently refurbished into light, bright, pastel rooms featuring characters from under the sea! They look fabulous! I love the new upgraded look. It's very fitting for this resort.

10. Close to Disney's Riviera Resort
If you are staying in Aruba or Martinique, it's a short walk over to the Riviera Resort. If you're in Jamaica or Trinidad you can ride the Disney Skyliner over if you aren't up for walking. There are some delicious food options and bars to check out there. I recommend making a reservation for Topolinos Terrace character breakfast! While you're there, stop by the beautiful Peter Pan and Tangled mosaics outside under the archways.
