Worlds of Marvel on the Disney Wish

Marvel Cinematic Universe fans assemble! Worlds of Marvel is one of three rotational dining restaurants on the Disney Wish. The menu includes dishes from around the globe, inspired by your favorite Marvel characters and iconic locations. Worlds of Marvel is not just a dining experience. It's also a showcase of revolutionary quantum technology with an interactive show filled with fun surprises and appearances from some of the Avengers.

During your visit to Worlds of Marvel, Ant-Man and The Wasp share a special presentation of some of the most powerful technologies in the Marvel Universe. The show is presented on video screens located throughout the restaurant so every table has a great view of the show. If you're familiar with other Disney Cruise Line ships, think Animator's Palate when you think of this restaurant's setup. In addition to the presentation, there's also a hands-on demonstration of the Quantum Core.
Quantum Core at each table
This is where guests get to be a part of the show and help save the day by pushing buttons on their own interactive Quantum Core located at each table. No spoilers on the specifics of the show but just know that it's a really fun cinematic experience that features a battle with villains, hijinks, and fun cameos. The show takes place at various times throughout dinner so you have time to enjoy the show while you dine.
The Avengers décor game is strong with the Avengers symbol on just about everything at the table! You'll find the symbol on the menu, bread plates, silverware and more. I absolutely love the whole vibe at this restaurant. The great theming continues to the menu where you have Showcase Apps, Wakandan Salads, from the Sokovian Kettle, and Entrees Assemble. The menu categories and names are just so clever. I love it! (There's also Vegetarian and Lighter Note sections on the menu but those aren't as fun with their names.)

The cocktail menu also has some fun names for their alcoholic and non-alcoholic, like the Widow's Bite cocktail, and the Wakanda Forever, one of the zero-proof options (non-alcoholic). I decided to order The Stinger which was really tasty. It was Reposado with blueberry and grapefruit and it sure hit the spot.
The Stinger
Zignum Mezcal Reposado, Blueberry, Grapefruit
Bread Service
Marble Loaf with Red Bell Pepper Dipping Sauce
From the Showcase Apps, we ordered the Steamed Bao Buns and the Crispy Breaded Fried Shrimp. The bao bun was absolutely delicious! My husband had already eaten one by the time I took a picture so you'll only see one on the plate. The fried shrimp was a bit of a let down but that's partially my fault. I unknowingly didn't fully remove the tail from the shrimp which wasn't ideal and left a bad taste in my mouth (literally). Besides my own issue, I also thought it wasn't very flavorful. It paled in comparison to the bao bun which I would happily order again. The menu has actually been updated since our sailing and I'm not surprised to see that the Fried Shrimp is no longer on the menu.
Steamed Bao Buns | W.E.B.
Seared Ginger Orange Pork Belly, Toasted Sesame Seeds, Pickled Daikon,
Spring Onions, Mirin Soy Honey Glaze
Crispy Breaded Fried Shrimp | Pym Technologies
White Cheddar and Corn Grits, Bell Peppers, Collard Greens, Smokehouse Barbecue Sauce
We also ordered the "Kartoffelsuppe" from the Sokovian Kettle. We both thought the soup had good flavors.
"Kartoffelsuppe"
Creamed Potato Soup, Carrots, Celery, Knockwurst, Thyme
For entrees, my husband ordered the Chicken Schnitzel and I ordered the Golden Mystic Pasta. My husband enjoyed his dish and thought it was pretty good. I, however, was really disappointed with my entrée selection. I need to preface this with saying I'm notorious for picking the wrong menu item on Disney Cruise Line. It never fails. I think my issue is that I try to be more adventurous when ordering since the food is included in your cruise fare. I figure, this is the best time to try something new because if I don't like it, I'm not really out any money and I can always order something else. This was just another case of me striking out. The pasta was super bland and tasted like I was eating buttered noodles. I would not order this dish again.
Chicken Schnitzel | Sokovia
Panko-crusted Chicken Breast, Butter Sautéed Potatoes, Caramelized Onions,
Long Green Beans, Lemon, Anchovy, Capers
Golden Mystic Pasta | Kamar-Taj
Caramelized Scallops, Angel Hair, Chardonnay Lemon Saffron Cream,
Roasted Vine Tomatoes, Savoy Spinach
My kids were happy with their selections off the Kids Menu of Mini Cheeseburger and Tomato & Mozzarella Pizza. The details on the kids plates are also super cute!

Mini Cheeseburger | The Wasp

It was time for dessert and we were looking forward to seeing what was on the menu! The menu is really cute and labeled with "Top Secret" from the Pym Test Kitchen. We ordered the Signature Dessert Cheesecake Byte and the Pym Doughnut Sundae. We were super disappointed because by the time we ordered dessert, they ran out of doughnuts for our Pym Doughnut Sundae. It was a bit of a bummer, on an already less than stellar meal. The sundae was just okay and probably would have been better if we had gotten the doughnut. Luckily, the cheesecake dessert was really good! Add one point to the win column for that choice!
Dessert Menu
Cheesecake Byte
Fresh Berries, Strawberry Jelly, Whipped Cream
Pym Doughnut Sundae
Dulce de Leche Ice Cream, Pecan Brownie, Caramel Fudge Sauce,
(Minus the Chocolate Glazed Mini-Doughnut), Whipped Cream
Our server also brought us these tiny chocolate cake bites for dessert. These aren't on the menu so I can't remember what they are called but they were super dry and not worth eating. Our server told us that the chef had been trying out some new recipes with these and they used to be good. I'll have to take her word for it. Hopefully these are better now because they weren't worth serving when we sailed.
My kids ordered the Mickey Ice Cream Bar and the Quantum Cupcake dessert from the kids menu. You can never go wrong with a Mickey Ice Cream Bar! (And I'm happy to report his white shirt survived the chocolate!)
My son enjoying his Mickey Ice Cream Bar
Quantum Cupcake
Red Velvet Cake, Cream Cheese Frosting, Marvel Sprinkles
This was the restaurant I was most looking forward to when we booked our cruise on the Disney Wish so I was really disappointed that it didn't live up to my expectations. The show and atmosphere were much more enjoyable than the food. It wasn't a total disappointment but overall, it was my least favorite out of the three rotational dining restaurants onboard. With that being said, I'm looking forward to dining here again so I can try some other menu items.

Cruising with a Baby: A Complete Guide

You took a baby on a cruise!? Yep, and I'd do it again knowing what I know now. So, say goodbye to months of research - Everything you need to know is here!! One of the biggest challenges of traveling with a baby is planning what you need to bring. I wanted to share what worked for us, and hopefully help others who are planning their cruise! Remember, babies can only cruise after their 6-month birthday on sailings from the U.S. If you are going transatlantic, or have more than three days out at sea, they must be 12 months old by the first day of your cruise. Pre-Cruise   We flew to the cruise port, and I couldn’t bring all the food and snacks I needed, so I placed an Instacart order for pick up near the port. I chose Publix in Cocoa Beach which is a few miles from Port Canaveral. I placed the order a few days before we left home, and set the pickup time to 11:00 a.m. I ordered formula, a box of diapers, swim diapers, bottle brush, dish soap, baby food, and baby snacks. I also broug

Complete Guide to Disney's Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point

Disney's new Bahamian island destination, Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is a pristine, secluded paradise reserved exclusively for Disney Cruise Line guests. The cruise port is located on the island of Eleuthera (pronounced uh-loo-tr-uh) at it's southern tip, amidst a nature preserve called Lighthouse Point. Far from any towns, Lookout Cay feels like a tropical oasis that is separated from the outside world by mangrove forests. The landscaping is gorgeous with flowers like plumerias, and tall swaying palm trees. Whether you want to just kick back and relax or go for a thrilling banana boat ride, this port has something for everyone. There are family friendly areas as well as those reserved specifically for adults. Expert Tip: If you want a view of the island from your stateroom, be sure to book a starboard (right) side stateroom. Disney Magic docked at Lookout Cay After disembarking your Disney Cruise ship, you'll cross the pier to the island on foot. (It looks longer in

The Villas at the Disneyland Hotel Review

I love staying at the Disneyland Hotel so when I got the opportunity to stay at the new Villas at the Disneyland Hotel during opening weekend, I couldn’t pass it up. Because it was opening weekend, we were greeted in the entrance way of the lobby with balloons and many photo opportunities. When we arrived, there was a mural of the Haunted Mansion. I love how the seats in the main lobby were designed like the teacups in the parks. You can check in using the Disneyland app, drop your bags with bell services and head into the parks or use the amenities why you wait until your room is ready. When your room is ready, the resort will send you a text and you can use the Disneyland app on your mobile device to unlock the room. We dropped off our bags and went straight to the parks. We received a text around 1PM that our room was ready. In the new Discovery Tower (the Villas), you'll find that the lobby is very spacious with many places to sit while you read or wait for your family. Th
