Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in Ko Olina, Hawaii, is the perfect place for a dreamy getaway. Whether you’re excited about the sandy beaches, the tropical vibes, or the magical Disney touch, planning ahead will help you make the most of your trip.

Time to Start Planning

Planning a trip to Aulani? Start thinking about your vacation almost a year and a half in advance. This early planning gives you a head start on booking your stay and saving up for your dream holiday.

What to Do Now:
  • Choose Your Dates: Look at your calendar and decide when you’d like to visit. Remember, the best times to visit are during less crowded months or when you find special rates.  Dates are open for reservations up to 499 days in advance.
  • Budget: Start setting aside money. Aulani is a luxurious resort.  You can set up a payment plan.

Book Your Stay

One year before you plan to check in, it’s time to make your reservation at Aulani. The resort allows bookings up to 499 days in advance, so be ready to act when your window opens! Reserve Cabana Rentals and Pre-register for Aunty’s Beach House

As your trip approaches, there are a few important things to book or arrange 90 days before you arrive:
  • Cabana Rentals: Aulani offers cabanas by the pool or overlooking the beach where you can relax. These are popular, so be sure to book early to get the best spot.
  • Aunty’s Beach House: If you’re traveling with children, pre-register them for Aunty’s Beach House. It’s a complimentary kids club where children can enjoy crafts, games, and more.

Book Dining Reservations and Premium Activities

With only 30 days to go, it’s time to finalize your dining and activity plans. Here’s what you need to do:
  • Dining Reservations: Aulani has fantastic dining options, and reservations open 30 days before your arrival. These can fill up quickly, so it’s a good idea to book early. You are able to book your dining reservations 30 days prior to your desired date. Reservations open at midnight (Hawaii time). If you do not want to wake up early, your travel advisor will make the reservations for you.

  • Premium Activities: If you’re interested in special experiences, like making your own Mickey ears or booking unique excursions, these reservations open 30 days in advance too. Don’t forget, reservations open right at midnight Hawaii time, so be ready to book as soon as the clock strikes 12!

A Few Days Before Your Trip

As your vacation approaches, make sure everything is ready:
  • Check-In Online: If Aulani offers online check-in, complete this before you arrive to save time.
  • Confirm Plans: Double-check all your reservations and travel arrangements.
  • Pack Smart: Prepare your suitcase with light, comfortable clothing and essentials for the beach. Bring a waterproof phone case with a lanyard to use when you're at the beach or the pool.
Pro Tip:  Bring your MagicBand+.  You're able to use the MagicBand to open your room, check out equipment at the beach, and pay for food and experiences.
