Celebrate the Holidays at Universal Orlando Resort

The holiday season at Universal Orlando Resort is a magical time filled with festive cheer, unique entertainment, and delightful treats. From mid-November through the end of December, the resort transforms into a winter wonderland, offering a variety of experiences that cater to all ages. Here's a look at what you can expect during the holidays at Universal Orlando Resort.

Entertainment Offerings

Universal Orlando Resort goes all out with its holiday entertainment. One of the main highlights is the Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s. This parade features larger-than-life balloons and floats inspired by beloved characters from franchises like Despicable Me, Shrek, and Madagascar. Santa Claus himself makes an appearance, lighting up an 80-foot-tall Christmas tree.
In addition to the parade, there are several live performances tailored to the season. You can catch The Blues Brothers, Beat Builders, and Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees performing holiday-themed shows in various parts of the park. For a more interactive experience, the Earl the Squirrel Meet and Greet is a must-see, where you can learn about the quirky story of Earl the Squirrel and his holiday antics.

Seasonal Food & Beverage

No holiday celebration is complete without festive food, and Universal Orlando Resort does not disappoint. Throughout the parks, you'll find a variety of holiday-exclusive treats and beverages. The Holiday Tribute Store is a great place to start, offering themed rooms with unique sweet treats and holiday merchandise.

For those looking to indulge in seasonal flavors, the resort's restaurants and food stands offer special menus featuring everything from savory dishes to decadent desserts. Be sure to try the hot cocoa and holiday-themed pastries that are perfect for enjoying while watching the parade or strolling through the festively decorated streets.

Grinchmas

One of the most beloved holiday events at Universal Orlando Resort is Grinchmas. Held in Seuss Landing at Islands of Adventure, Grinchmas brings Dr. Seuss's classic story "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" to life. The centerpiece of this celebration is the Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular, a live show that retells the heartwarming tale with music, dancing, and, of course, the Grinch himself.
Visitors can also meet the Grinch and his faithful dog, Max, for a photo opportunity that captures the mischievous spirit of the season. The area is beautifully decorated with whimsical holiday decorations, making it a perfect spot for families to enjoy the festive atmosphere.

Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™

Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ is a truly enchanting experience. Both Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley are adorned with festive decorations, including garlands and lights that capture the magical essence of the season. Special holiday performances by the Frog Choir and Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees add to the festive atmosphere. The highlight is the Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle, a stunning projection show that brings the castle to life with holiday scenes and music.

Nutcracker Scavenger Hunt

For a fun and interactive holiday activity, guests can participate in Earl's March of the Nutcrackers Scavenger Hunt. This scavenger hunt takes you through Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and CityWalk, where you search for uniquely themed nutcrackers. Participants can purchase a map and, upon completion, receive a special ornament as a prize. It's a delightful way to explore the parks and enjoy the holiday decorations.

Holiday Themed Merchandise & Decorations

Universal Orlando Resort offers a wide range of holiday-themed merchandise perfect for souvenirs or gifts. From Earl the Squirrel apparel and accessories to Grinchmas items and Hogwarts-themed holiday decor, there's something for everyone. The Holiday Tribute Store is a must-visit for exclusive holiday merchandise, including ornaments, clothing, and unique collectibles. Some of the standout items include the Grinchmas popcorn bucket, Hogwarts House-themed holiday ornaments, and Earl the Squirrel spirit jerseys.
The holiday decorations at Universal Orlando Resort are nothing short of spectacular. Both Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure are adorned with festive garlands, twinkling lights, and beautifully decorated Christmas trees. Each area of the parks has its own unique holiday theme. Even the resort hotels get into the spirit, with elaborate decorations in their lobbies and special holiday activities for guests.
The holidays at Universal Orlando Resort are a time of joy, wonder, and unforgettable experiences. Whether you're watching the dazzling Holiday Parade, savoring seasonal treats, or enjoying the antics of the Grinch, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Cruising with a Baby: A Complete Guide

You took a baby on a cruise!? Yep, and I'd do it again knowing what I know now. So, say goodbye to months of research - Everything you need to know is here!! One of the biggest challenges of traveling with a baby is planning what you need to bring. I wanted to share what worked for us, and hopefully help others who are planning their cruise! Remember, babies can only cruise after their 6-month birthday on sailings from the U.S. If you are going transatlantic, or have more than three days out at sea, they must be 12 months old by the first day of your cruise. Pre-Cruise   We flew to the cruise port, and I couldn’t bring all the food and snacks I needed, so I placed an Instacart order for pick up near the port. I chose Publix in Cocoa Beach which is a few miles from Port Canaveral. I placed the order a few days before we left home, and set the pickup time to 11:00 a.m. I ordered formula, a box of diapers, swim diapers, bottle brush, dish soap, baby food, and baby snacks. I also broug...

Chronos Club Review at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort

I recently stayed at the Chronos Club at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. I've been a fan of Disney's Coronado Springs Resort since my first visit as it reminds me of my hometown, San Antonio. I've stayed in rooms ranging from preferred, Casita Suite, Tower King, and now Club Level access. The Chronos Club is located on the 15th floor of the Gran Destino Tower and can only be accessed with a key card or MagicBand to a corresponding Club Level reservation. I've previously stayed Club Level at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort, Disney's BoardWalk Inn, and Disney's Grand Californian Resort. These are all considered Deluxe Resorts. Something that makes the Chronos Club stand out is that it is located in what Disney considers a Moderate Resort. I was really excited to check out the difference in experience, since there can be a notable difference in price tag for Moderate vs. Deluxe Res...
