Walt Disney World Dining Guide - EPCOT

The Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida has a plethora of dining options to choose from.  With a little pre-planning going a long way to a great vacation, it helps to know what is available at each park, Disney Springs and the resorts.  We hope this guide will help you see through some of the noise and determine what is best option for your vacation needs!

EPCOT, often dubbed the "foodie theme park" of Walt Disney World, offers a culinary journey around the world. From quick service meals to fine dining experiences, EPCOT has something for every palate and budget. This guide will take you on a gastronomic tour around the park, covering everything from quick service restaurants and table service establishments to lounges, bars, and special events.

Types of Dining Establishments

Table Service Restaurants: you sit at a table and are served by a server (traditional restaurant experience.) We highly recommend advance dining reservations for table service restaurants, which can be made 60 days in advance of your trip.

Table Service restaurants are sometimes broken down farther by...
  • Signature Dining - these restaurants will be a more upscale experience, often have a dress code and a higher average check
  • Character Dining - these experiences are often buffets, family style or prix fixe, and will have characters visit your table throughout your meal.  Visit our blog post here to learn more about character dining.
  • Dining Experience - these are family style and include a show with your meal!

Quick Service Restaurants: you order or pickup your food from a counter and do not have a dedicated server.  If Mobile Order is available through the My Disney Experience app, it will usually save time and headache to use this service and just pick up your food and find a table when it is ready.

Carts and Kiosks: these are small little spots throughout Disney with very limited menu options.  You just hop in line and place your order and get your food right then and there.  There isn't always seating nearby, so keep your eyes peeled!

*Please note, that while some places are listed as Quick Service on the Walt Disney World website, we categorize them as a Cart or Kiosk due to limited menu selection, seating or hours.

Cruising with a Baby: A Complete Guide

You took a baby on a cruise!? Yep, and I'd do it again knowing what I know now. So, say goodbye to months of research - Everything you need to know is here!! One of the biggest challenges of traveling with a baby is planning what you need to bring. I wanted to share what worked for us, and hopefully help others who are planning their cruise! Remember, babies can only cruise after their 6-month birthday on sailings from the U.S. If you are going transatlantic, or have more than three days out at sea, they must be 12 months old by the first day of your cruise. Pre-Cruise   We flew to the cruise port, and I couldn’t bring all the food and snacks I needed, so I placed an Instacart order for pick up near the port. I chose Publix in Cocoa Beach which is a few miles from Port Canaveral. I placed the order a few days before we left home, and set the pickup time to 11:00 a.m. I ordered formula, a box of diapers, swim diapers, bottle brush, dish soap, baby food, and baby snacks. I also broug...

Nestled in the heart of the Japan Pavilion, this restaurant offers an authentic izakaya experience that promises to tantalize your taste buds and elevate your dining experience. A Culinary Adventure in Epcot's Japan Pavilion From the moment you step inside Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya, you'll be transported to an authentic Japanese izakaya. The restaurant's warm, inviting ambiance, coupled with traditional decor, sets the stage for an unforgettable meal. We were also quite impressed with the service and enjoyed the atmosphere here for our meal. A Delightful Start: The Appetizers We kicked off our meal with the Kara-age Chicken (fried chicken) appetizer and let me tell you—it was love at first bite. Perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, this dish was bursting with flavor. The subtle seasoning and light batter made it an ideal...
