DCL - Rotational Dining Basics on the Disney Treasure

Disney Cruise Line distinguishes itself from the competition with its unique "rotational dining" setup. Rotational dining ensures that all guests experience each of the three themed dining venues on board. Each night of your cruise itinerary, your party, tablemates, and service team will rotate to one of the three main dining rooms. This arrangement allows guests to enjoy multiple restaurants on board while maintaining the same wait staff.

Upon arrival at the cruise terminal, guests will receive their restaurant schedule and table number through the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. Each evening, you will be assigned one of the three restaurants, but you will remain at the same table number each night, making it easy to remember your seating. You will also have the same tablemates and servers, fostering familiarity and the potential for building lasting friendships with fellow guests and staff.

In addition to rotational dining, there are two dinner seatings each night of your cruise. Although specific times vary based on the itinerary, the earlier seating is typically around 5:45 PM, and the later seating is around 8:15 PM. Your assigned seating time, along with your restaurant schedule and table number, will be available in the app.

Each ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet has slightly different restaurants in their rotational dining line-up. This post will cover the specifics for the Disney Treasure. On each ship, you can expect each restaurant to have a different vibe and theme.

1923 (Upscale Atmosphere)
Named for the year The Walt Disney Company was founded, 1923 celebrates the legendary animation studio that was founded in Southern California. 1923 is a vintage Disney fan's dream as its filled with over one thousand drawings and props from classic Disney animated films. The restaurant is split into two dining rooms, fittingly named Walt and Roy, after the two brothers behind the world's oldest-running animation studio.

Plaza de Coco (Theatrical Dining Experience)
Located on Deck 5 Aft, Plaza de Coco on the Disney Treasure offers a vibrant and immersive dining experience inspired by Disney and Pixar's beloved film, Coco. This restaurant features two distinct nights of entertainment, where guests can enjoy live performances and music from the movie while savoring delicious Mexican cuisine. The menu draws inspiration from Miguel's colorful world, offering modern twists on traditional Mexican dishes.
Worlds of Marvel (Magical Atmosphere)
Marvel Cinematic Universe fans assemble! The Worlds of Marvel menu includes dishes from around the globe, inspired by your favorite Marvel characters and iconic locations. Worlds of Marvel is not just a dining experience. It's also a showcase of revolutionary quantum technology with a different interactive show each night you visit, filled with fun surprises and appearances from some of the Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers.
Rotational dining on Disney Cruise Line is a great way for guests to experience all of the main dining restaurants onboard a Disney ship while building relationships with Cast Members and fellow tablemates.

Cruising with a Baby: A Complete Guide

You took a baby on a cruise!? Yep, and I'd do it again knowing what I know now. So, say goodbye to months of research - Everything you need to know is here!! One of the biggest challenges of traveling with a baby is planning what you need to bring. I wanted to share what worked for us, and hopefully help others who are planning their cruise! Remember, babies can only cruise after their 6-month birthday on sailings from the U.S. If you are going transatlantic, or have more than three days out at sea, they must be 12 months old by the first day of your cruise. Pre-Cruise   We flew to the cruise port, and I couldn’t bring all the food and snacks I needed, so I placed an Instacart order for pick up near the port. I chose Publix in Cocoa Beach which is a few miles from Port Canaveral. I placed the order a few days before we left home, and set the pickup time to 11:00 a.m. I ordered formula, a box of diapers, swim diapers, bottle brush, dish soap, baby food, and baby snacks. I also broug...

The Villas at the Disneyland Hotel Review

I love staying at the Disneyland Hotel so when I got the opportunity to stay at the new Villas at the Disneyland Hotel during opening weekend, I couldn’t pass it up. Because it was opening weekend, we were greeted in the entrance way of the lobby with balloons and many photo opportunities. When we arrived, there was a mural of the Haunted Mansion. I love how the seats in the main lobby were designed like the teacups in the parks. You can check in using the Disneyland app, drop your bags with bell services and head into the parks or use the amenities why you wait until your room is ready. When your room is ready, the resort will send you a text and you can use the Disneyland app on your mobile device to unlock the room. We dropped off our bags and went straight to the parks. We received a text around 1PM that our room was ready. In the new Discovery Tower (the Villas), you'll find that the lobby is very spacious with many places to sit while you read or wait for your family. Th...
