Pixar Place Hotel

Welcome to the newly renovated Pixar Place Hotel! This Disney destination brings the magic of Pixar animation to life, making it the perfect place to relax and explore. This hotel is one of three official Disneyland Resort Hotels. Pixar Place is the least expensive of the three Disneyland Hotels and can be a great choice for guests looking to stay in the magic. With its colorful design and proximity to the parks, the newly reimagined Pixar Place Hotel is perfect for families and guests of all ages who want to enjoy the magic of Pixar.

When you step into the lobby, you’ll see an amazing sculpture of Pixar’s famous lamp and ball, giving you a glimpse of the fun ahead. The walls are decorated with artwork and murals of your favorite Pixar characters from movies like Toy Story, Finding Nemo, and Inside Out. Every part of the hotel celebrates Pixar’s creative storytelling, making it a delightful place to stay.

During my visit, the lobby captured our family's attention. The younger children loved spotting their favorite Pixar characters on the walls, and loved taking pictures with the giant lamp.  The teens appreciated the details in the artwork and pointed out scenes from their favorite films.  Their favorite was the artwork of the house from the movie, Up, in the elevator.   The adults in our group enjoyed seeing Pixar’s classics come to life.

Rooms

Pixar Place Hotel has different types of rooms to fit your family’s needs. The Standard Guest Rooms are designed with bright colors, Pixar-themed patterns, and fun details like desk lamps shaped like Luxo Jr.

These rooms can fit up to five people (four adults) and have options like 1 king bed or 2 queen beds, often with a sleeper sofa. If you need more space, suites are available with extra room and special features for your family to relax. Each room has decorations inspired by Pixar movies. You might see pillows with characters like Buzz Lightyear or artwork showing scenes from Cars or Monsters, Inc.

For an extra special experience, you can upgrade to a Premium View Room and wake up to views of Disney California Adventure Park, including the Ferris wheel and the Incredicoaster at Pixar Pier.

Transportation

Guests of Pixar Place Hotel enjoy special benefits that enhance their Disneyland experience. The hotel’s convenient location puts you within walking distance of Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and the Downtown Disney District. As a hotel guest, you’ll also receive early park entry privileges, giving you access to select attractions 30 minutes before the parks open to the general public.

Pixar Place Hotel also offers an exclusive entrance into Disney California Adventure Park, allowing direct access to Pixar Pier. The entrance from the hotel into California Adventure closes at noon, but you are able to exit through that access point anytime throughout the day.

Cruising with a Baby: A Complete Guide

You took a baby on a cruise!? Yep, and I'd do it again knowing what I know now. So, say goodbye to months of research - Everything you need to know is here!! One of the biggest challenges of traveling with a baby is planning what you need to bring. I wanted to share what worked for us, and hopefully help others who are planning their cruise! Remember, babies can only cruise after their 6-month birthday on sailings from the U.S. If you are going transatlantic, or have more than three days out at sea, they must be 12 months old by the first day of your cruise. Pre-Cruise   We flew to the cruise port, and I couldn’t bring all the food and snacks I needed, so I placed an Instacart order for pick up near the port. I chose Publix in Cocoa Beach which is a few miles from Port Canaveral. I placed the order a few days before we left home, and set the pickup time to 11:00 a.m. I ordered formula, a box of diapers, swim diapers, bottle brush, dish soap, baby food, and baby snacks. I also broug...

The Villas at the Disneyland Hotel Review

I love staying at the Disneyland Hotel so when I got the opportunity to stay at the new Villas at the Disneyland Hotel during opening weekend, I couldn’t pass it up. Because it was opening weekend, we were greeted in the entrance way of the lobby with balloons and many photo opportunities. When we arrived, there was a mural of the Haunted Mansion. I love how the seats in the main lobby were designed like the teacups in the parks. You can check in using the Disneyland app, drop your bags with bell services and head into the parks or use the amenities why you wait until your room is ready. When your room is ready, the resort will send you a text and you can use the Disneyland app on your mobile device to unlock the room. We dropped off our bags and went straight to the parks. We received a text around 1PM that our room was ready. In the new Discovery Tower (the Villas), you'll find that the lobby is very spacious with many places to sit while you read or wait for your family. Th...
