Very Merriest After Hours Event

As the weather turns colder and spooks turn to snowflakes, it is time to revisit some festive delight that Walt Disney World has to offer.  While Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party returned in 2022, we thought it would be the perfect time to look back on the Very Merriest After Hours event that took place in 2021 as there are a few similarities. Magic Kingdom is festive throughout the day from November to December, but it takes on a whole new personality at night for the holiday events. For the Very Merriest After Hours, let's start with the included snacks.  You could get a few park favorite treats and some seasonal delights.  The lines at the start of the event for ice cream and soda were long, but they faded throughout the night and it was much easier to get snacks later on.  We enjoyed Mickey's Premium Ice Cream Bars first.  While it was December, it was still plenty warm out for ice cream!  They had a few other favorite ice cream novelties available a...

Disney Villains After Hours Event

This summer, the Kingdom Konsultant Agents took on a full day of training followed by a late night Magic Kingdom adventure at the Disney Villains After Hours Event.  The night promised low crowds, special effects on attractions, specialty food items available for purchase, a unique stage show and PhotoPass opportunities, and Maleficent at night. In addition, there were complimentary soda, bottled water, popcorn and ice cream novelties with our event admission! We couldn't wait to see what we could accomplish! Pro tip: you won't be able to accomplish it all in one night, there is just too much to see and do! The Agents taking over the Kingdom! Walking in to Main Street was a little hectic with the day guests leaving and the party guests arriving.  We almost missed the guide map but managed to double back to grab some so that we could all make a plan! You notice right away a different feel to the park with little hints of the villains all around. Eerie lights on...

Changes to the ride are minor, with new paint and refreshed landscaping, along with a slight re-routing of the track. Photo courtesy of WDWMagic.com Disney has given us a few more details on how your smart phone will become your Star Wars Datapad when you are in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. From Scott Trowbridge: Use the “hacking” feature to interact with certain door panels or droids to see their memories, or open your “scanning” tool to peek inside of cargo crates you may spot while walking around. The handy “translation” tool will help you understand Aurebesh (the written language of the Star Wars galaxy) signs throughout Black Spire Outpost, and you can even tap into and decrypt signals from antennas or communicat...
