Top 10 Must Do's at Disney California Adventure Park

Disney California Adventure Park opened on February 8, 2001 and has experienced a lot of changes since then. This park originally opened to highlight the state of California. I remember going to the park right when it opened. It had the letters spelling out California in the front of the park and as you walked into the entrance, you could see the "Golden Gate Bridge." Pixar Pier was called Paradise Pier and the big roller coaster was called California Screamin'. Presently, there are nine themed lands at Disney California Adventure: Buena Vista Street, Pixar Pier, Paradise Gardens Park, San Fransokyo Square, Performance Corridor, Grizzly Peak, Hollywood Land, Avengers Campus, and Cars Land. Here are the top 10 things I love to do while visiting Disney California Adventure.   10. Goofy's Sky School Located in Paradise Gardens Park, this attraction is designed after the short movie, "Goofy's Glider." When it first opened, it was called Mulholland Madness a...

Pym’s Test Kitchen & Tasting Lab

In the heart of Avengers Campus, Pym's Test Kitchen offers a dining experience like no other. Inspired by the world of Ant-Man and the Wasp, this innovative eatery plays with size and proportions, creating a whimsical atmosphere and unique dishes that are a feast for both the eyes and the palate.  Upon entering, you're greeted by a giant pretzel that sets the tone for the playful, larger-than-life theme. The menu features a mix of oversized and shrunken-down items, from the gigantic Pym-ini sandwich to the bite-sized Quantum Pretzel.  One highlight is the Not So Little Chicken Sandwich, where the chicken filet comically outsizes the bun, adding a fun twist to a classic dish. The Impossible Spoonful is another must-try, offering plant-based meatballs served in a sizable spoon, making for an eye-catching and delicious treat.  Dessert lovers with a sweet tooth must try the Chocolate Candy Bar—an indulgent, oversized treat that brings a delightful end to your meal. This desse...

Genie+ Services at the Disneyland Resort

If you have been to Disneyland in the past couple years, you may have seen Disneyland's most recent "FastPass" system. For those that have been traveling to Disneyland, it is similar to the Max Pass that was introduced before the pandemic. What is Disney Genie service? Disney's Genie service is a free planning tool that guides you through the Disneyland park while providing tips to help plan your day. Guests can find the Genie service on the Disneyland app. The Genie service was released on December of 2021 shortly after Walt Disney World released their version. The free Genie service acts like your very own virtual assistant and lists forecasted wait times, where you can mobile order, manage check-in and dining reservations. As one enters the park at Disneyland, click on the "My Genie Day" part of the app. When it opens, you can click on Tip Board. The Tip Board has the option on checking out the "Attractions & Shows" where is lists sta...

The Villas at the Disneyland Hotel Review

I love staying at the Disneyland Hotel so when I got the opportunity to stay at the new Villas at the Disneyland Hotel during opening weekend, I couldn’t pass it up. Because it was opening weekend, we were greeted in the entrance way of the lobby with balloons and many photo opportunities. When we arrived, there was a mural of the Haunted Mansion. I love how the seats in the main lobby were designed like the teacups in the parks. You can check in using the Disneyland app, drop your bags with bell services and head into the parks or use the amenities why you wait until your room is ready. When your room is ready, the resort will send you a text and you can use the Disneyland app on your mobile device to unlock the room. We dropped off our bags and went straight to the parks. We received a text around 1PM that our room was ready. In the new Discovery Tower (the Villas), you'll find that the lobby is very spacious with many places to sit while you read or wait for your family. Th...
