The Disney Dining Plan - Everything You Need to Know

The Dining Plan offers the convenience and peace of mind of pre-paying for my meals and snacks. You are able to choose from two popular options: either the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan or the Disney Dining Plan . Both plans are a great value for families who love to dine at Disney, especially with children. Space 220 Restaurant Below is a list of the table service restaurants on Disney Property where you can use your Dining Plan credits. You can use it at restaurants located in the Disney theme parks, Disney Springs, and at the Resorts. The table service, or "sit down", restaurants either use 1 or 2 credits per person. A restaurant that requires 2 table service credits per person are called Signature Dining. These are fine dining or hard to get reservations.  When you include the Dining Plan in your vacation package, everyone in the room must have the same type of theme park ticket option and dining plan. For a child under the age of 3 — they may share from an adult plat

Jaleo Restaurant Review

Jaleo is one of the newest restaurants at Disney Springs and has quickly become a favorite of many.  It is a tapas-focused restaurant from Chef José Andrés and is considered Signature Dining by Disney (2 table service credits on the Disney Dining Plan).  Since this is a tapas restaurant, the Disney Dining Plan can get a little confusing for the entrees and appetizers.  On the Disney Dining Plan, each diner can get two regular tapas OR one tapa that "serves two" OR one plated dish OR one plated pallea. If you are on the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan, you can select one of the options above, plus an additional tapa. First let's take in the restaurant's atmosphere and decor.  The building greets you with pops of red as you approach.  Once inside, there's a nice open feeling with a lounge area to the left and the main dining area to the right.  There are some interesting tables to be found, with one having a Foosball table underneath! New Snack Alert! Fried Twinkies at The Magic Kingdom!

Hey there, Disney Foodies!      Looking for a new snack option at The Magic Kingdom? Look no further! Just a couple of weeks ago, The Friar's Nook in Fantasyland introduced the brand new Fried Twinkie! Ooooooo!      This little beauty is a Hostess Twinkie, (Just in case you are not familiar, the Twinkie is a yellow sponge cake, filled with a white, vanilla frosting/creme, that has a somewhat marshmallowy consistency.), coated in a sweet batter, and deep fried. You then get your choice of chocolate drizzle, strawberry drizzle or caramel drizzle, and a dusting of powdered sugar.          When I decided to try this treat out, I regretfully did not have The Hubs with me. Fried Twinkies are pretty much his FAVORITE thing from local fairs and festivals, so I knew he would be excited about this. Personally, I am not a big Twinkie fan, nor am I a huge fried food fan, but I had to try it. You know... for research. This snack is $4.99 and it does count as a Dining Plan Snack

Secrets to Maximize your Disney Dining Plan

Adding the Disney Dining Plan to your vacation package is a great way to pre-pay for your food, so that you don't have to worry about out of pocket costs while on vacation. Here are some secrets on how to best take advantage of your dining plan. Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater is one of my favorites! Babies and toddlers aren't covered. Children 0-2 years old can't get their own dining plan credits. At non-buffet meals, you have to order a separate children's meal which is not covered by the DDP, or share some of your food with them. Packing lunches and snacks helps supplement meals too. Dine outside the Parks for more variety. There are so many restaurants to choose from at WDW that each day and each vacation can be very different. There are even more dining selections available at the resorts and Disney Springs. You can ride the monorail to the Magic Kingdom area resorts to find some of the best table service meals on property. Disney Springs also has many great res
