Fiesta of Flavor: La Cantina de San Ángel at EPCOT

La Cantina de San Angel is a quick service location in the Mexico Pavilion on the World Showcase side of Epcot. It's always busy - and for good reason! The menu is simple but delicious and the views are nice, too.  The menu here is small but packs a delicious (and healthy!) punch. Tacos, nachos, and empanadas are the stars. You can smother them in your favorite toppings--cheese, beans, beef, tomatoes, jalapenos or sour cream. The nachos are a great meal or shareable snack. You can add guacamole for a small charge or take advantage of the complimentary salsa that La Cantina offers. The red is smoky and hot and the green is tangy and mild and both are yummy.  Here are some popular entrees:  Arroz Bowl Rice bowl topped with grilled chicken, corn, spicy tomato salsa, pickled onions, queso fresco and cilantro  Arroz Bowl with Barbacoa Beef or Shrimp Rice bowl topped with barbacoa beef, corn, spicy tomato salsa, pickled onions, queso fresco and cilantro or Rice bowl toppe...

Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya

If you're planning a trip to EPCOT and have a penchant for sushi, Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya should be at the top of your dining list. Nestled in the heart of the Japan Pavilion, this restaurant offers an authentic izakaya experience that promises to tantalize your taste buds and elevate your dining experience. A Culinary Adventure in Epcot's Japan Pavilion From the moment you step inside Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya, you'll be transported to an authentic Japanese izakaya. The restaurant's warm, inviting ambiance, coupled with traditional decor, sets the stage for an unforgettable meal. We were also quite impressed with the service and enjoyed the atmosphere here for our meal. A Delightful Start: The Appetizers We kicked off our meal with the Kara-age Chicken (fried chicken) appetizer and let me tell you—it was love at first bite. Perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, this dish was bursting with flavor. The subtle seasoning and light batter made it an ideal...

Exploring Epcot’s World Showcase: Must-Try Foods

EPCOT is known for its festivals, which are fantastic, but they can sometimes overshadow the year-round culinary delights found in the World Showcase Pavilions. Here are some of our favorite non-festival food items that you can enjoy throughout the year. Mexico Choza de Margarita has become my go-to spot in the Mexico Pavilion. Tucked away outside the iconic pyramid, this gem offers a variety of margaritas, including rotating seasonal options, and delicious snacks like empanadas. It’s a great value compared to the Mexico-inspired festival booths. Norway The Norway Pavilion has gained popularity with the addition of Frozen, but it’s also home to  Kringla Bakeri og Kafe , a long-time favorite of mine. The school bread, a sweet cardamom bun filled with vanilla custard and topped with coconut, is a must-try. I also recommend the lefse, a soft flatbread rolled with cinnamon, sugar, and butter. China To avoid getting too full while exploring, I like to grab a refreshing tea from  T...

EPCOT Must-Do Experiences for a First Time Visitor!

One of Walt's biggest dreams for his Florida Project was the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow, also known as EPCOT.  Here, dreams of the future have taken place and come true since it's opening day of October 1, 1982. Now, over 40 years later, EPCOT is still delighting guests with its unique experiences and attractions. Everyone who visits will find something they love, whether it be a high-speed attraction in World Celebration or a stroll through the countries in World Showcase. Today, I want to shed some light on must-dos for guests visiting EPCOT for the first time! Travel in Time When you hear the name EPCOT, chances are the image of a giant, silver geodesic sphere come to mind. While many people refer to it as the giant golf ball, Spaceship Earth is the park's icon, and does it ever make itself present! Standing tall and proud at the front of the park, it's unmissable. Some people are surprised to find out that there is actually a ride inside of ...

Chefs de France Review

Bonjour mon amie and come right in to a beautiful restaurant hidden in plain site in France of Epcot’s World Showcase. This is a place that I’ve walked past thousands of times, but thought I wouldn’t enjoy it or it’s too pricey, but when I finally visited, I was proved wrong. This beautiful restaurant is actually quite large inside, well-lit and appears to be quite fancy even though I’m definitely dressed for an amusement park, not an upscale bistro. Everything on the menu is written in French, but don’t fret because they also have the wording in English directly underneath. When you have options such as Beef Tenderloin, Braised Pork Shank, Seared Salmon, Rotisserie Chicken half or the famous Ratatouille for entrees, it really was hard to decide what we wanted to eat. There were so many incredible options that we decided to get the “Menu Francois,” or price fix menu, which included an Appetizer, one of five of the Entree options on the regular menu, a dessert and one glass of Chardonna...
