How to Purchase and Select the Lightning Lane Multi Pass through the My Disney Experience App Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass can only be purchased through the My Disney Experience app and, depending on where you are staying for your vacation, can be purchased 7 (Disney resort guests) or 3 days (offsite guests) in advance of your park visit.  Step 1.  Open the My Disney Experience app and login if it's the first time you're using the app or if the app hasn't saved your login information from previous uses.  Step 2.  There are a few places where you can purchase the Lightning Lane Multi Pass and/or Single Pass. Just when we were getting used to Disney's Genie+ services, Disney has decided to release another change to the system.  On June 25, 2024, Disney introduced the new Lightning Lane Multi Pass system.  For Disneyland, it works the same as Genie+ but is branded with a new name.  Instead of Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane, the new name is  Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass.  There will still be the complimentary Genie service.  This new Lightning Lane system began on July 24, 2024.
