Morimoto Asia at Disney Springs

Morimoto Asia at Disney Springs is one of my go-to spots for a great meal.  The restaurant itself is beautiful and I've had so many great meals there over the years. Chef Morimoto is a relatively well-known chef after appearing on Iron Chef America as one of the original Iron Chefs, so when he opened a restaurant at Disney Springs I was so excited to give it a try being a fan of the show and of Chef Morimoto.  This restaurant brings his masterful Asian cuisine to Florida in his first "Pan-Asian" concept.  With 20-foot chandeliers and glass walls giving a peek into the kitchen and a sushi bar upstairs, there is something to catch everyone's eye here. In October, they had specialty spooky cocktails on the menu that we just couldn't resist trying! Not much information has been revealed, however, this special event will take place on February 14, 2021. Welcome to the latest edition of Ears the News Brought to you by our friends at  WDWMagic.com Alongside the recent price increases to Annual Passes and resort hotel parking, Walt Disney World's park specific reusable shopping bags have also increased in price this month. First introduced at the end of 2018 at World of Disney, the reusable bags are made of 80% recycled materials and come in three sizes. The new pricing is $2 for small (up from $1), $2.50 for medium (up from $1.50), and $3 for large (up from $2). The closure is now planned to begin August 26 2019, with a reopening set for December 2019. Welcome to the latest edition of Ears the News Brought to you by our friends at WDWMagic.com The new "Captain Hook's Pirate Crew" at Disney's Beach Club Resort is the latest immersive experience for kids at Walt Disney World Resort. Taking place from 5pm to 8:30pm, Captain Hook will be lookin’ for a new band of adventurers to learn the pirate code and follow clues leading to hidden treasure. As part of Captain Hook’s Pirate Crew, these young buccaneers will comb through the resort and set sail on a pontoon boat around Crescent Lake including an escape room type experience. Once the treasure is unearthed, all join in a Pirate Feast that includes selections such as Cannon Meatballs with marinara or macaroni and “gold” sauce for entrees, along with a treasure chest treat or fruit for dessert. If you are wearing a MagicBand, your on-ride PhotoPass photos will now be automatically linked to your My Disney Experience account! This automated MagicBand to My Disney Experience service has been testing at various attractions over the last few months, but now moves to full operational status. You may find that if you have been in the parks over the last 45 days, those photos are also now available. For those guests without MagicBands, new touch-points have been installed at the photo preview walls at select attractions. After riding, you can touch your RFID card to the reader to associate the photo to your My Disney Experience account. Attractions already setup with the touch point features are: Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, Space Mountain, and Splash Mountain. Test Track, Rock ‘n Roller Coaster, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Dinosaur, and Expedition Everest will be coming mid-November.
