Bigfire Restaurant Review

Bigfire is, in my opinion, a great addition to Universal CityWalk at the Universal Orlando Resort. Having been a huge fan of Emeril's which was previously in this location, I was skeptic, but quickly put at ease once we were inside and met our server and have been back several times since. After a full day in the parks, we had a pretty late dinner on the agenda so we started in the lounge attached to the restaurant.  The cocktail selection is quite extensive, with bourbon drinks being the star here. My Manhattan was delicious and set the tone for a great meal ahead! The bar is also a great stop if you don't have a reservation, I found the bartenders friendly, attentive, and making great drinks! The open kitchen is a great feature as you enter the dining room.  The décor is modern yet cozy with touches of plaid throughout.  The highlight is of course the "big fire", where they wood smoke a variety of meats for the entrees. We started the meal with some wine a...

Universal's Great Movie Escape at Universal CityWalk

Universal's Great Movie Escape opened at Universal CityWalk in late 2022.  It is easy to miss, but a treat to find!  While the main draw here are the two highly themed and immersive escape rooms, anyone can pop in for a beverage and check out the memorabilia. I loved the vibes inside! If you want to do the escape activities, you have a choice between Back to the Future: OUTATIME and Jurassic World: Escape.  Ticket prices vary based on time of day and if you choose a private experience. The bar serves up specialty cocktails themed to the two escape rooms.  It was a Sunday afternoon so we went for a drink with an espresso pick me up, the Silent Era, and a mocktail, the Hoverboard Highball.  This is one of the few places we found at Universal Orlando Resort that has actual mocktails on the menu, so that was a super fun treat, but if you prefer the punch, they can add the liquor as well! Hoverboard Highball - Prickly Pear syrup, lemon juice, Sprite, lemon bitters, m...

Our Top Table Service Dining Choices at Universal CityWalk

Universal's CityWalk is a dining, shopping and entertainment area with so many options.  Where to begin?  The Kingdom Konsultant agents have been busy trying the options for you to help give you an idea of what to expect and maybe narrow some things down.  All of these restaurants are quite popular and reservations are recommended.  3. Bigfire Bigfire is going to be your more upscale/fine dining option at Universal CityWalk.  The décor is modern and features an open kitchen, the bar serves up craft cocktails and the menu features wood-fired dishes.  All of the food we tried here was delicious and the prices felt reasonable for the quality of food we tried.  If you want a nicer meal, definitely check out Bigfire (but if you show up in theme park clothes, you will be just fine too!). The Cowfish: Burgers, Sushi & Burgushi

The Cowfish at Universal's CityWalk is a unique restaurant serving a combination of burgers and sushi which gives everyone in the family something to be happy about.  It is centrally located in CityWalk above Vivo Italian Kitchen with indoor seating. a beautiful patio seating area overlooking CityWalk below and has a modern eclectic vibe once inside.  We chose to sit inside and started with some cocktails for the adults and appetizers for all to appease our hungry bellies.  The cocktails were top notch and the appetizers got us even more excited for the meal ahead as they were so delicious!  What was extra great about this place for us, is that it made sushi and seafood approachable for the kids so they were willing to try things they maybe wouldn't have otherwise so it was great to see them venture out of their comfort zone a bit!  Buffalos and Bacon: Buffalo Trace bourbon, cherry liqueur, angostura and orange bitters, honey, candied bacon Angel's Envy Man...
