DAS Card Updates

As many of you already know, Disney goes above and beyond other theme parks when it comes to accommodating guests with disabilities.  The Disability Access Service card, or DAS card for short, has been a great tool for families that might not be able to wait in line for an extended period of time for various medical reasons.  In the past, guests would go to Guest Relations upon entering the park, request the bright green DAS card, and Guest Relations would take a photo of the guest for the front of the card.  Disney is now making this system electronic, to blend seamlessly with the MyMagic+ technology already being used throughout the parks and resorts. Find Guest Relations on www.waltdisneyworld.com or the MDE app The procedures for acquiring and using the Disability Access Service has not changed, but instead of carrying around a paper card, it will all be set up on the ticket media that the guest used to enter the park; either a Magicband or plastic ticket.  Once the DAS card

Cruising with an Infant on Disney Cruise Line

Have you thought about taking the plunge and doing a Disney Cruise, but then quickly get your head out of the clouds and realize that you have a kiddo between the age of 6 to 18 months?  Ok, many of you may think what I am about to say is absolutely crazy but if you have a 6 month - 18 month old child, GET ON THE DISNEY CRUISE SHIP!  This will absolutely be the easiest vacation you will ever take with a young child of any age!  My family and I just returned from a 7 night Western Caribbean cruise on the beautiful Disney Magic.  We have two beautiful girls, age 7 and 8 months old, and I can honestly say that taking this cruise with our girls was the easiest week my husband and I have spent during a vacation! So let's talk about what made this trip so much easier than others. With a few exceptions, almost all of the food is included in the price of your cruise!  Our 8 month old has allergies to dairy, gluten, and soy.  The first night we were there, we talked with our head se

Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage

On our most recent trip to Walt Disney World this past January, I knew I wanted to do something special for my Peter Pan loving 5 year old.  I settled on booking seats on the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage.  Here are the stats for this swashbuckling adventure. The voyage sets sail every night other than Wednesday, November through May.  June through October it runs nightly with the exception of Wednesdays and Thursdays.  The cost is $34.00 per child and $59.00 per adult.  The price includes snacks at Disney's Contemporary Resort, a meet and greet with Captain Hook and Mr. Smee, the Voyage itself, and a meet and greet with Peter Pan. The Voyage sets sail from the Contemporary resort.  As instructed, we headed over to the resort an hour and fifteen minutes before Wishes was scheduled to start.  The front desk directed us to a ballroom where we met our fellow pirates for the evening and awaited our hosts.  There were coloring materials out for the kids to pass some time and ver
