Animator's Palate on the Disney Magic

Animator's Palate is the only restaurant that is on all four of Disney's cruise ships, and it really does just give you that magical Disney feeling! There's a little something extra as your meal progresses here, so pay close attention to your surroundings as you dine. Animator's Palate is typically where character breakfasts will be held on cruises of 7 nights or longer, so you might spend a bit of time here! The restaurant is located Deck 4 Aft. I was looking forward to this meal because it has one of my absolutely favorite items on the menu; Black Truffles Pasta Purseittes! On this cruise, Animator's Palate was our second night and also Formal Night, so we were all dressed up to enjoy the magic that awaited. This is one of the best themed restaurants in my personal opinion, and I simply love it here! We started the meal with bread and butter and specialty cocktails of the evening. First up was our appetizer course. I was traveling wi...

Picking a Stateroom for Your Disney Cruise

Hey there, Disney Guys and Gals!!!       I think I JUST about finished editing my Disney Cruise pictures, so starting next week I'll be bringing you reviews, photos and more, but for this week, I wanted to cover an area of questioning that just about everyone has when booking a Disney Cruise. (Or ANY cruise, for that matter!) Do I need a balcony? Can I handle an inside stateroom? Is location important? Unfortunately, there are no cut and dry answers and the biggest factor in this decision will be your family's own personal preferences and needs, but let's see if I can help you out.      A balcony, or verandah, works out well for Guests that will find themselves in the stateroom during the day for children's naps, or just a break in the day, since it provides you with an opportunity to still enjoy the spectacular views and gorgeous ocean air, while having some quiet time. A verandah is always enjoyable if you're someone who...

Breakfast at Tusker House

With the crew in my family, dining at Disney World is not just any old eating experience - It's an event!  We take it seriously.   It's not just about the food.  It's about the atmosphere. It's about the interactions with cast members.  It's about memories being made. Like Cinderella (but in a good way!), we anxiously watch the clock waiting for it to strike midnight at the 180 day mark so we can begin making our Advanced Dining Reservations or ADR's.  We scour the menus, argue back and forth, and finally narrow down our choices.  Disney World has so much to offer.  The variety of dining options can be challenging when it comes to deciding where you want to use those Dining Plan credits or spend those hard earned dollars. Everyone in my family has their own individual favorite but one is always, always, always a must: No Disney World vacation is complete without breakfast at Tusker House at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Tusker House is a charac...

Coral Reef Restaurant Review

Enjoy great views of the aquarium while you dine Coral Reef Restaurant is a tucked-away gem of a dining experience in Epcot’s Future World. Its entrance is just around the corner from the entrance to The Seas with Nemo and Friends Pavilion, but you might miss it if you are not looking for it! Once inside, guests are greeted by a hostess in the reception area decorated in ocean blues, but the real feature of Coral Reef Restaurant – the massive aquarium – is hidden further inside the restaurant, allowing for lots of “oohs” and “ahhs” when being seated. The seating at Coral Reef is auditorium-style, meaning the tables and chairs are arranged on different levels from the lowest near the tank glass to higher up the further back you go in the restaurant, so that all guests have an opportunity to see the “show.” That show includes many species of fish and marine life, including large sea turtles, stingrays, sharks – and even the occasional scuba diver – swimming by throughout dinner. ...

Review: Lunch at Grand Floridian Cafe!

Helloooooo, Disney Fans!       I hope you're having a "grand" week! I got to have a lovely brunch with a friend last week, at the Grand Floridian Cafe, and I wanted to share my experience with you, partially because I know that since you're reading this blog, you'll enjoy hearing about it, and partially because then I can call it "work" and not "being lazy and avoiding cleaning the house".      To me, the Grand Cafe is one of the rare "hidden gems" of Disney Dining. It's not crazy-popular, but that's probably just because when it comes to The Grand, Narcoossee's, Citricos and Victoria & Albert's tend to steal all the fame, not to mention the character meals at 1900 Park Fare. But this unassuming cafe is worth making the visit for.       I have dined here a couple of times before, and had somewhat mixed reviews of it, but more recently, I have found the Grand Floridian Cafe to be more consistent...
