Five Inexpensive and Easy Disney World Souvenirs

When you travel to Walt Disney World, you’ll want to commemorate your family’s vacation by taking home a little piece of the magic. By planning ahead and thinking outside the stuffed-animal-and-a-t-shirt box, you can come away with practical, unique souvenirs that remind you of your magical trip for years to come. Here are five ideas for your next trip: 1. Autographed Pillowcase Instead of buying an autograph book at the parks, plan ahead by bringing a white cotton pillowcase and Sharpie “Stained” fabric marker for characters to sign during your trip. When you return home, you can frame the pillowcase or actually use it on your pillow! This souvenir will cost about $5 depending on the type of pillowcase you purchase. (Tip: Wash, dry and iron the pillowcase before you travel, and bring a small piece of cardboard or hard-back book to place under the pillowcase when characters are signing.)  You can also do something similar with a photo mat and then frame with a photo o...

Star Wars Day at Sea on Disney Cruise Line

Disney Cruise Line offers a truly out-of-this-galaxy themed cruise that's a must do for Star Wars fans! Star Wars Day at Sea is available on select 7-Night Caribbean cruises sailing from Port Canaveral and combines the power of the Force with a little Disney magic. Photo opportunity in the atrium I recently sailed on the Disney Fantasy and we were lucky enough to experience our first Star Wars Day at Sea sailing. We are pretty big Star Wars fans so we were very excited for everything Disney Cruise Line had in store for us on this specially themed cruise. In preparation for this cruise, we had our 3-year old son start watching the Star Wars movies and I'm happy to report that he's also a big fan now! Great photo opp with Han Solo When we first boarded the ship, I immediately noticed the additional Star Wars Day at Sea themed photo opportunities in the atrium. There was a large Star Wars Day at Sea backdrop and there was also Han Solo frozen in carbon...
