World Showcase Spotlight: Canada

We continue our tour of World Showcase and head to the other end of the lagoon for Canada! The Canada Pavilion is home to one of the most popular restaurants on Walt Disney World property: Le Cellier Steakhouse.  The steakhouse is located in the cellar of the centerpiece of the Canada pavilion, the Hotel du Canada.  Le Cellier is a signature dining restaurant serving steaks, seafood, and regional cuisine inspired by the provinces of Canada.  Favorites include the “Le Cellier” Mushroom Filet Mignon and the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup.  Guests 21 years of age and older can enjoy Canadian wines and beers.  Click here to read a full review.  Reservations are strongly recommended at this restaurant and can be made 60 days in advance. On your way to the entrance of Le Cellier, make sure to take a moment to take some pictures of the Victoria Gardens along with the quaint little cottage.  It’s a beautiful spot filled with many great photo opportunities...

The Cowfish: Burgers, Sushi & Burgushi

The Cowfish at Universal's CityWalk is a unique restaurant serving a combination of burgers and sushi which gives everyone in the family something to be happy about.  It is centrally located in CityWalk above Vivo Italian Kitchen with indoor seating. a beautiful patio seating area overlooking CityWalk below and has a modern eclectic vibe once inside.  We chose to sit inside and started with some cocktails for the adults and appetizers for all to appease our hungry bellies.  The cocktails were top notch and the appetizers got us even more excited for the meal ahead as they were so delicious!  What was extra great about this place for us, is that it made sushi and seafood approachable for the kids so they were willing to try things they maybe wouldn't have otherwise so it was great to see them venture out of their comfort zone a bit!  Buffalos and Bacon: Buffalo Trace bourbon, cherry liqueur, angostura and orange bitters, honey, candied bacon Angel's Envy Man...

2021 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival

The 2021 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival looks different than in years past but it is still one of the most beautiful times to visit Epcot and has many fun treats in store. First up, you have the stunning topiaries and gardens dotted throughout the entire park.  These are what really sets the tone for this festival. If you're lucky, you might even spot a character or two hanging out in the gardens.  I spotted both Alice and Mary Poppins at different times in the English Tea Garden!  Tinkerbell is tucked away in the back of the UK Pavilion Mickey makes a second appearance by World Showplace Next you have the Outdoor Kitchens and lots of yummy food and beverage choices around World Showcase and even popping down into Future World a bit. This is always my favorite part of any festival but it's so enjoyable at Flower and Garden because the weather tends to be just perfect for outdoor dining.  Here are a few of my favorites from this year's festival.  ...

Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill

Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill is located at Disney Springs and brings a world renowned chef within reach for your next Disney vacation. The restaurant boasts laid back California cuisine with Mediterranean influences and takes on comfort classics. Reservations can be made 60 days in advance and are highly recommended.  We were sat with a lovely view of the pizza kitchen for our meal on this particular evening.  The restaurant was elegant yet comfortable, perfect for a dinner after a day in the parks.  We started the meal with a sangria and a beer, but they also have a delightful cocktail menu and wine selection.  With our wonderful view of the pizza oven, we of course had to try one of the pizzas so we opted for the  Italian Sausage Pizza with pickled peppers, red onion, fresh mozzarella, and basil and it did not disappoint.  It was delivered hot and fresh to our table and those pickled peppers added such a nice special touch to your everyday sausage pizza.
