The Epcot International Food and Wine Festival seems to get bigger and bigger each year.  This can be quite intimidating!  Today's blog is to show you that you can get a great taste for the festival in just one day in Epcot and still enjoy other aspects of the park as well.  It will be extremely challenging to try every single booth  in one day, so we highly recommend grabbing a Festival Guide when you get to the park and looking over the menus.  See what sounds good to you, and plan to hit those booths and not just the first ones you see.  Lines will build throughout the day for the food booths, so consider that when you make your plans.  Full disclosure, we didn't even get to the park until about 3pm and we aren't big on rides.  But we had a leisurely day and had a ton of fun!  It was a perfect Florida day with blue skies and fluffy clouds.   We were lucky enough to get a Virtual Queue for Guardians of The Galaxy Cosmic Rewind, so...

Prague, Czech Republic is a city rich with unique history, and having only really existed as it's current independently ruled country for about the last 30 years, is quite a treat to visit.  (Previously it was Czechoslovakia under Communist rule and several others in the centuries prior.) We spent several days here and loved how compact and easy it was to get around with public transportation.  It was easy to hit the highlights and do a bit extra with our time to really get a feel for the city. Walking Tour Since Prague structures date back to Medieval times, the streets of Old Town can be a little confusing at first glance.  A walking tour will give you a good orientation and touch on some of the many highlights such as the astronomical clock and the old Jewish quarter.  A great tour guide will also guide you through the historical changes of power throughout the city and show important locations on the path to the Czech Republic's independence. I finally achieved a lifelong goal of mine, to attend each and every one of Epcot's festivals in the same year (there are four, and I'm not local!) And now that I've successfully done each one, I wanted to give a run down of the basics of each festival to help you plan your next trip to the one that suits you best!   Halloween Horror Nights, aka HHN, is a separately ticketed event on select nights from early September through Halloween night each year. Dates are subject to availability so if you are dying to go (see what I did there?!), then make sure you purchase your tickets early. It's a separately ticketed event which means your regular theme park admission ticket does not include admission to this event.  Unlike some other Halloween parties in the Orlando area, this event comes with a warning. The event may be too intense for young children and is not recommended for children under the age of 13. Also, no costumes or costume masks are allowed. We saw some children who were clearly younger than 13 in attendance so depending on how into scary things your kids are, they might be fine at this event or it may scar them for life. To be honest, it's an event that could traumatize an adult so think very carefully before you purchase your tickets for yourself or your children under 13....

There are many sophisticated resorts in the world, but how many of them have a magical monorail running through them transporting you to the Magic Kingdom? Disney's Contemporary Resort is where you can find modern elegance with a sprinkling of pixie dust, and an abundance of the classic Disney service, quality, and storytelling. If you've never been to Walt Disney World, or simply aren't sure which one is the Contemporary Resort, I can almost guarantee you can recognize it. As a kid, this was always "the hotel that the monorail goes through" to me. As one of the two original resorts, the A-frame body of the tower is a classic icon representing WDW resorts.
