Amorette’s Patisserie Fall Petit Cakes Review

Tucked back near World of Disney, in Disney Springs is the gem that is Amorette’s Patisserie. I love a treat that is as delicious as it is beautiful, and more often than not, I find that to be the case here. While one can order a sandwich or beverage, the star of Amorette’s is their delightful display of pastries. In addition to the year round variety of choices including precious mini Mickey cakes, Amorette’s offers seasonal petit cakes. Today I will be reviewing three of those options, all available in the fall of 2022. The first is the Encanto Petit Cake, which is part of Disney’s Together we are Magia offerings. The pictures simply can’t do the sparkle on this bright and delightful cake justice. They really add to the festive colors of this cake. The ribbon on the bottom is not edible, but everything else seemed to be. Let’s dig in! The cake flavors are “vanilla chiffon, mango mousse, raspberry mousse, and white chocolate crisp pearls.” The Mousse layers are clearly defined, my...

Universal's Volcano Bay Private Cabana Review

On a recent training in Universal Orlando Resort, agents Maci, Ashley, Aubrey and Yaritza and I rented a private cabana for the day at Universal's Volcano Bay. There are multiple locations around the park along with the option to have an upper or lower level, all of which reflect in various pricing. Agent Ashley received an email the day before informing her of where to check-in the next morning. While we were personally escorted to the cabana shortly after check in, the line at the check in location is the same as those getting towels, meaning it was not short. As expressed by an additional guest checking into a different cabana, we would have greatly appreciated a separate line, since this caused our group about a half hour wait. We're all adults and made great use of our time getting some fun pictures before the park was filled with guests, but this is important to be aware of if you are traveling with children.  We had an upper level Cabana which came with a splendid view!...

Very Merriest After Hours Event

As the weather turns colder and spooks turn to snowflakes, it is time to revisit some festive delight that Walt Disney World has to offer.  While Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party returned in 2022, we thought it would be the perfect time to look back on the Very Merriest After Hours event that took place in 2021 as there are a few similarities. Magic Kingdom is festive throughout the day from November to December, but it takes on a whole new personality at night for the holiday events. For the Very Merriest After Hours, let's start with the included snacks.  You could get a few park favorite treats and some seasonal delights.  The lines at the start of the event for ice cream and soda were long, but they faded throughout the night and it was much easier to get snacks later on.  We enjoyed Mickey's Premium Ice Cream Bars first.  While it was December, it was still plenty warm out for ice cream!  They had a few other favorite ice cream novelties available a...

A Day at Epcot's Food and Wine Festival

The Epcot International Food and Wine Festival seems to get bigger and bigger each year.  This can be quite intimidating!  Today's blog is to show you that you can get a great taste for the festival in just one day in Epcot and still enjoy other aspects of the park as well.  It will be extremely challenging to try every single booth  in one day, so we highly recommend grabbing a Festival Guide when you get to the park and looking over the menus.  See what sounds good to you, and plan to hit those booths and not just the first ones you see.  Lines will build throughout the day for the food booths, so consider that when you make your plans.  Full disclosure, we didn't even get to the park until about 3pm and we aren't big on rides.  But we had a leisurely day and had a ton of fun!  It was a perfect Florida day with blue skies and fluffy clouds.   We were lucky enough to get a Virtual Queue for Guardians of The Galaxy Cosmic Rewind, so...
