Have Baby's First Haircut at Walt Disney World

There are many magical firsts for children at Disney World, but one of the most special experiences is getting their first haircut at Harmony Barber Shop . I had the joy of taking two of my children there when they were each just two years old, and the experience was truly unforgettable. It's like a rite of passage for our family! Disney turns an ordinary milestone into a cherished memory with their special First Haircut Package, and I want to share all the details so YOU can create this magical moment, too! Located on Main Street, U.S.A., Harmony Barber Shop is a charming, old-fashioned barbershop that many guests walk right past without realizing its a functioning barber shop! Anyone can get a haircut or beard trim here, but the First Haircut Package is what I love most! The First Haircut Package is $28.00 and includes: A keepsake certificate with their name and their barbers name A lock of your child’s hair in a small pouch Special Mickey ears embroidered with “First Haircut” A...

Disney World Hack - Using FuelRod Chargers

We are using our phones more than ever at Walt Disney World - taking family (and food) photos, using the My Disney Experience app to book your Lightning Lane selections, review your Disney Genie optimized recommendations,  making mobile orders, checking the park map, and so much more. You have to have a back up plan for a dead battery. While portable power banks are great, if they die, you have to find somewhere to plug in. That's where FuelRods come in. A FuelRod is a portable phone charging system available throughout Walt Disney World. You can purchase a FuelRod kit and swap it for a fully charged one at any FuelRod station. You can find them at malls and airports too! How It Works Buy a FuelRod Kit – Purchase one at any FuelRod kiosk for around $38 . The kit includes: A rechargeable Fuel Rod (phone battery)  A USB charging cable with adapters for different devices (C, USB and Apple typically) Plastic case Use It to Charge Your Device – Plug your phone or tablet into the...

Din Tai Fung at Downtown Disney

When I found out that Din Tai Fung was opening at Downtown Disney in California, I was really looking forward to it. The new Downtown Disney location brings this amazing dining experience and combines Disney magic with incredible food, making it a must-visit spot for families, couples, and friends.  Din Tai Fung is known for its delicious dumplings and tasty dishes so while we were down in Disneyland for a quick visit, we couldn’t pass up the chance to visit.  Din Tai Fung started in Taiwan and became popular because of its xiao long bao, or soup dumplings. These dumplings are thin and delicate, filled with tasty broth and tender meat. Eating one is more than just having a meal—it’s an experience.  They have an open kitchen where you can watch the chefs fold the dumplings by hand through a viewing window. Upon arriving at the restaurant, you will need to go speak to the hostess. If you don’t have a reservation, they will give you a wait time and will text you when it...

Fiesta of Flavor: La Cantina de San Ángel at EPCOT

La Cantina de San Angel is a quick service location in the Mexico Pavilion on the World Showcase side of Epcot. It's always busy - and for good reason! The menu is simple but delicious and the views are nice, too.  The menu here is small but packs a delicious (and healthy!) punch. Tacos, nachos, and empanadas are the stars. You can smother them in your favorite toppings--cheese, beans, beef, tomatoes, jalapenos or sour cream. The nachos are a great meal or shareable snack. You can add guacamole for a small charge or take advantage of the complimentary salsa that La Cantina offers. The red is smoky and hot and the green is tangy and mild and both are yummy.  Here are some popular entrees:  Arroz Bowl Rice bowl topped with grilled chicken, corn, spicy tomato salsa, pickled onions, queso fresco and cilantro  Arroz Bowl with Barbacoa Beef or Shrimp Rice bowl topped with barbacoa beef, corn, spicy tomato salsa, pickled onions, queso fresco and cilantro or Rice bowl toppe...
